31 July 1993 is supposed to be a major turning point in the history of the ancient kingdom of Buganda. It is on this date that Buganda’s monarch, exiled for nearly a generation, returned to occupy the throne of his illustrious ancestors. The leaders of the political parties in abeyance were part of the broad-based government and even in abeyance they were not hibernating. Some of our parties were actually more active during ABEYANCE than now!!
