A 90's hero!! Love Astra GSI :)

I can still remember that noise produced by the clutch pedal I had 1995 GSI I drove it till 320520 KM but it had the c20xe engine

Yes, every Opel of that era had this noise issue on the clutch😂 Wow, so you had the top combo 🤘🏻

@@testdrivehero Top combo is the 2.0 16v 150hp. I still own one (it's sitting idle for years :S) and compared to 8v's I've driven, it's on another level.

Here in Greece Astra gsi had 2.0 lt 150 bhp .

Same here, but you can choice between 2.0 8v 115hp (this one) or the 2.0 16v 150hp (if your bugdet can) Later the options were 1.8 16v 125hp and 2.0 16v 136hp

Absolutely a 90s icon! Yes, he almost screw up... That mistake from him was scary.

BEST OPEL EVER BUILT. A TRUE LEGEND, MAYBE DO AN ASTRA F GT SAME BODY BUT 1,4 82HP OR 1,6 100HP I OWN A GT SINCE NEW 93 THREE DOOR IN WHITE. BEST CAR AND EASILY MODIFIED INE IS STOCK LOOKING WITH OEM BBS STYLE WHEELS AND RECAROS IN GREY

We love the Astra F GSI ! :) I will try to find some 1.4 or 1.6, sadly I drove these 2 cars before I started the Test Drive Hero project... I liked the 2 engines surprisingly! BBS and Recaros are a win win haha👌🏻😂

Thank you so much George! The Astra F have understeer tendency from new, but with a bad tyres selection and excessive hard suspension caused even more this effect. As you can see, I'm not forcing at all on cornering and in slow turns the understeering appears. Thanks for sharing your opinion! :)

@@testdrivehero my GT has minimum understeer but maybe because I learnt how to drive it fast since I was 14 with my dad also if you play with the gas petal it oversteers too but yes like many fwds it understeer but not excessively

@@testdrivehero also the gsi has the same reacaros like the GT but the car in the video has a tired interior alls you should try a gsi with an lsd no understeer at all many people here in Greece put lsd in every 90s hot hatch like astras f , 106 rallyes, mk3 gtis, Ford Fiestas, Clio Williams....

I've got a friend who have an Astra GSI 16v with LSD and roll cage just for resistance races. Maybe some day I will try to do some test drive of it on track and on street but... step by step... this will be another story hahaha

Usually goes between 75-95° (on max demand)
