1992 - Columbia House - One Person at a Time Commercial
One of the most heartfelt jingles you'll ever hear celebrates everyone's favorite "negative option billing" service. The tune is visually supported by a mix of then-relevant media and exceptionally jubilant folks spending time with their friends/loved ones. There's also brief flashes of their current unsolicited direct mail offerings, which include 8 CDs for a penny and 6 VHS tapes for 39 cents each.

i spent 30 min trying to find this, the entire time thinking i was looking for a coffee commercial lol
This dug down deep into my psyche and pull that old memory to the surface hard. No lie, this is the first time I've seen this commercial and heard this song since 1992, hoooooly crap. I miss when commercials used to have these highly produced ballad jingles.
OMG! This jingle and song stuck with me thoughout all these years. The nostalgia. 😆. Great memories!

It's really a classic. I don't think it gets the recognition it deserves, but it's tough to pull off an iconic commercial in over 30 seconds.
I remember jamming to this theme. Now it's my phones ringtone. YIKES!!!
The power of jingles! I even remember a local Christmas jiggle when I was 5

Columbia House, one person at a time.
i miss columbia house 😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
The primary part of the chorus rotates in my head unabated since the early 90s…
This was my favorite commercial theme
I still owe Columbia House money 😂😂😂😂
This is how I know my ass is old, I wanted to be apart of Columbia house back in the day, but we were too damn poor. We didn't even have a VCR or CD player lol

I remember the commercial from the 90's.
When things were exciting, tomorrow was a certainty, and you weren't just sitting around waiting to see who's going to die next.
I missed being 4😣

Unless you were gay.
For reasons completely lost on me, commercials of this time all had to sound like a choir of angels singing.
Simpler sweeter times…
And for added nostalgia, I’m drinking a Wild Cherry Clearly Canadian…whilst nibbling on a ham Lunchable 😛 I feel like I’m 7 again 😂
1:02 "And Now, Our Feature Presentation"
Ronald Reagan was unintentionally a major influence on advertisers in the nineteen eighties and early nineties as many of them tried to mimic his successful "It's Morning Again" series of political adverts to market their own brands with this Columbia House advert being one of many examples. Essentially they were trying to sell baby-boomers who were still the key demographic in the market at the time a slice of nostalgia that echoed the values of mid-twentieth century America. Given hindsight it was the final push for this type of advertising campaign as the marketplace and indeed the world at large would radically change by the end of the nineteen nineties.
