Just did the exact same thing to my 94 one week ago today. Seem to be having issues with the return mechanism bring the kicker pedal back up with out binding. May want to get your thoughts on that. Thanks . and went ahead and subbed to help out a fellow builder. Thanks again. Guy Speight

Any complaints with the Vtwin kicker kit? Having a hard time deciding on the ledsled and v twin. Yeah I’d prefer the American made one but I can’t afford it right now and I need to finish my bike for paint asap.

I had to adjust the gap between main shaft gear and kicker gear using washers as shim and as you can see, kicker cover is little bit bigger than cam cover. Also kick arm is kind of rickety. I don’t know if it can start the engine but looks cool anyway.

Ho acquistato anche io il kit per mettere in moto col pedale,ti vorrei chiedere un dettaglio ; nella scatola con tutti i pezzi,non ho trovato nessuna guarnizione da applicare. quando ho smontato il blocco,per far passare l'albero dal pignone dentato che trascina la cinghia,ho tolto il tappo spingendo dall'interno ed è saltato il coperchio dove si vede un oring. Al montaggio del nuovo albero, che attraversa il pignone,c'è qualche chiusura particolare, tipo paraolio o simile da mettere?? Chiedo per non smontare tutto di nuovo e non avere perdite di olio. I also bought the kit to start the bike with the pedal, I would like to ask you for a detail; in the box with all the pieces, I could not find any gaskets to apply. when I disassembled the block, to pass the shaft from the toothed pinion that drives the belt, I removed the cap by pushing from the inside and the cover jumped where you can see an oring. When assembling the new shaft, which crosses the pinion, is there any particular closure, such as oil seal or similar to put? I ask not to disassemble everything again and not to have oil leaks. A thousand thanks.

There was an aluminum ring in the kit, which didn’t fit anywhere. The ring only roughly fitted the shaft. So I used the ring as a seal. So far I don’t see any leak from the shaft. But in that way, you might need to adjust the thickness of the ring because of the clearance between the pinions.

初めまして！自分も同じキックを購入したんですがミッションを組み終わりスプロケットの方から付属のアルミみたいなカラーを入れようとしたのですが入りません！ シールの蓋はとったのですがその後ろに入ってるベアリングみたいな物もとらないといけないんですか？ よかったら教えてください！

入らないとは、奥まで全部入らないと言うことですか？それとも径が合わなくてシャフトに全く入らないという事ですか？ 私も外したのはシャフトのシールだけでした。すんなりシャフトには通ったのですがサイズはピッタリではありませんでした。そのままギアはシャフトに付いたのでそのまま組み上げたのですが、やはりシャフトにねじ込んだギアとキックのギアのクリアランスが狭すぎて、キックが戻らなくなってしまったので、キックカバーのボルトにワッシャーをシム的な感じで何枚か入れてギアのクリアランスを調整したらキックが戻るようになりました。

回答ありがとうございます！ スプロケット側のシールを外すと中にニードルベアリングっぽい物があってそれが邪魔でアルミのカラーが入らないですよね(TT) 色々調べたのですが全然出てこなくて困ってました！ アルミのカラーなのですが長さが1.5センチから2センチ位あるのですがそれであってますか？

アルミカラー的な物は１つしか入ってなかったと思うので、それで合っていると思います。説明書もなくネットにも解説がないので、個人的にはカラーというよりはオイルシールの代替品と解釈して取り付けましたが、正直正解は分かりません。ミッションを取り付けるとスプロケ側からネジ谷付きのシャフトが出ると思うのですが、私はそのシャフトの付け根とラチェットギアの間にそのアルミ部品を挟みました。ベアリング は外さず、これといってピッタリ収まる感じではなかったです。このアルミ部品によりシャフトの付け根とラチェットギアの隙間を無くしてミッション側からオイルが漏れるのを防いでくれると思いまして。

そうですよね！ 今のベアリング入ったまんまの状態では入らないので違うシールを探してました！ アルミのカラーは長かったですか？ あと自分のスプロケットはオフセットのスプロケットなのでそうゆのが関係してるのかなって思ったりもしてました！

過去の写真からの推測ですが、長さは15mm前後でしたかね。旋盤で作ってしまった方が確実かもしれませんね。 アメ車の宿命といいますか、醍醐味といいますか。 幸運を祈ります。
