To think that march 31st 2021 will mark 26 years since she was tragically murdered makes me so deppressed. I was just talking to my friend yesterday about her and my lips starting to quiver and i could not hold it in and i started to cry. Like it felt so deep pain in my chest. God!

@@cameron6249 I can see where you’re coming from! Many people discredit/disregard the blueprint but I think the “Looking up to her” comment was taken out of context. Personally, I’ve always liked how she carried herself & how she strived to be a positive role model for everyone which was admirable. I remember someone asking Prince about music or soul in an interview and he always said it’s something you can’t describe you can only feel which is what I meant by that you can tell she always felt what she sang that’s all. my sister attended this concert. She said while she was singing this song alot of people were saying "why is she singing that" or "why would she sing that?" bc most of the audience was there for the cumbias and to dance. I think the reaction pushed her dad to resist her singing in english for many years after this.

To think that march 31st 2021 will mark 26 years since she was tragically murdered makes me so deppressed. I was just talking to my friend yesterday about her and my lips starting to quiver and i could not hold it in and i started to cry. Like it felt so deep pain in my chest. God!

I think she did a great job. It was hard enough being a female in a male-dominated genre. For her to have the bravery and fearlessness to get on that stage and introduce something new to her audience just blows me away. She could sing anything and it was amazing. 💜

@@cameron6249 I can see where you’re coming from! Many people discredit/disregard the blueprint but I think the “Looking up to her” comment was taken out of context. Personally, I’ve always liked how she carried herself & how she strived to be a positive role model for everyone which was admirable. I remember someone asking Prince about music or soul in an interview and he always said it’s something you can’t describe you can only feel which is what I meant by that you can tell she always felt what she sang that’s all. I still respect her as an artist and I will continue to stand by that but I appreciate the conversation though 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽

my sister attended this concert. She said while she was singing this song alot of people were saying "why is she singing that" or "why would she sing that?" bc most of the audience was there for the cumbias and to dance. I think the reaction pushed her dad to resist her singing in english for many years after this.
