I think sanding it down is going to be your best bet. The peel coat is a nice temporary fix, but you seem like the kind of guy with much higher standards for such an exposed piece. And us old Honda guys are always looking at the “spots” we know show their age on others’ cars.

You need to use SEM Trim Black on that piece!

This Rugged Coat helps hide some of the imperfections. The SEM is good stuff!

You could have found a new one or a good used one.. Mine is still mint

I tried. Couldn’t find anything worth buying. I’d like a new one at a decent price.
