I’ve heard it said that a great leader isn’t about being the best, but about how much you can get out of your guys and willing them to do what they thought impossible. My first playoff game as a Chiefs fan. I was 12. Little did I know what next 29 years of playoffs would be for Chiefs. Just a complete irony of comic relief. One playoff game my Chiefs were up 28pts @Indy mid 3rdQtr AND LOST!!! LOL. Another time up 18pts LATE 3rdQtr at home in a playoff game vs Tenn AND LOST!!!. One playoff game there wasnt a SINGLE PUNT by either team and lost 38-31 at home vs Indy. One playoff game Chiefs were down 8 to Pittsburgh with less 1min to play. Scored a TD then made 2pt Conv to send it to OT. Out comes a late holding flag on Chiefs. 2pt conv negated, 10yd penalty, replay of 2pt conv..Chiefs lose by 2. Then the best...Intercept TOM BRADY for 3rd time in 2018 season AFC CHAMPIONSHIP GAME and seal the win, Chiefs going to Super Bowl for first time in 49 years. Nope! Another flag on Chiefs..Offsides on Dee Ford. Brady continues the drive and takes lead. Brady/Pats eventually go on to win on opening drive in OT and THEY go to their 3rd straight SuperBowl. 9th in last 20 years. Lolololol.... Then finally..FINALLY! We win Super Bowl LIV. Down a combined 44pts combined in all 3 postseason games. Win all 3 postseason games by double-digits. I think past 30 years has been preparing us longtime Chiefs fans for greatness. Cuz there ain't no sweet, without bitter. Just watch this game. Chiefs fans FUCKING KNOW the bitter... It sure taste SWEET!!

Joe Robbie had huge doors behind one of their end zones at the time. It would let in big gusts of wind and they would swing the doors open when an opponent attempted a kick and is the reason Lowerys kick fell short imo.

Some Random thoughts as I watch this broadcast. Steve Deberg wearing an atrocious solid gold chiefs hat during pregame. I don’t blame Deberg btw , I blame the NFL merchandising dept. I remember learning that Miami TE Ferrell Edmunds had the largest hands in the league. 12 inches, measuring from the base of his palm up to the tip of his middle finger. Mike Webster is a Chief here. From what I learned looking into his untimely death , he was already in very rough shape by this time in his life/career. Back to back Hertz Car Rental & (early) Subway commercials at about 13:30 , mane me think of each companies most famous spokesperson ( one in the past and one in the future ). OJ Simpson was 4 years away from an infamous night in June 1994 & Jared was still almost a decade away from his own brand of commercial “fame” meaning he was just a chubby middleschooler or close to it.
