Very nice car, this was a really good effort by Yugo considering what they made prior to the Sana. Sadly only 4 Sana's are left surviving in the UK now.

+James Nicholls I'm from Serbia, this car was produced untill 2008. under name Yugo/zastava Florida. Today, there's only few of them on the roads, very rare car.

They weren't probably that troublesome, thing is no one would want to be seen in one and since they were so cheap in the first place, getting rid of it was easy too. But I don't think the rust was the problem. Electronic problems that's another story, even though it wouldn't stop it from running like any other car since the electrics were few.

So they are all gone now.

So this £5,000 Sana has the ability to tell the driver on the dashboard whether or not the brake pads are worn, but my 2004 Honda CR-V Executive can't tell me that? What the hell???

If you don't have hearing issues, you can hear the squeaks when you brake. When the pads are worn out there's a piece of metal that starts grinding into the rotor. Having a sensor that tells you when to change the pads, is more of a quirk rather than a feature.

I've not had a single car that's been able to tell me that (other than obviously the squeaking) and I've had scores of 80s, 90s, 00s and 10s cars.

Looks like it's taking a lot of it's cue from the then new Fiat on the block back in 1988 the rather quirky Fiat Tipo galvinished steel hatchback which replaced the "handbuilt by robots" but really not very good Ritmo/Strada. Confess owning both a 2nd hand Tipo and Strada, both ok up to 100000 miles if looked after but then imploded after that, but those tales are one for another time! Ps I'm another Hubnob "referral".

that's actually quite a good looking car and the dash looks cool for its time.reminds me of a citroen bx

They look like a Citreon ZX. I remember seeing the odd one in the 90s

This car still taxed registered November 1989 maybe the only one on the road Hubnut's Yugo needs some work at the moment

Honest review if clarkson was to review it No doubt a skip would be on top of it

It was far better than the horrible two Yugos that preceded it i.e the dreadful Fiat based 45 and the Zastava Yugo saloon.

Remember, when trying to get parts from Yugo, being told by the dealer ' no chance, don't you know theres a war on?'

Tiff really rushes this. Does not seem happy at all

A 24 month warranty eh? Doesn't inspire confidence.

In 1990, our Fords, Rovers, Peugeots and Nissans had 1 year warranties, so 2 years was really quite generous.

. what happend to that gentelman .. he become spoiled child .. :)

It was crap then and err it’s still ......

I love capitalism, it means we don't have to deal with crapboxes like that

I was born in EXYU and this car looks disgusting... Quality, rubbish...
