Steve Cain in the King Kong Monster Truck loses control, runs off course and takes out a sign along with two brand new Horry County Police (South Carolina) patrol cars. The officers who were working security for the event parked their cars there having no idea that they would be in the way.

Watching this in 2019. Still one of the best crashes of all time.
I watched this event on live TV. Every time down the track the trucks would come closer and closer to wiping out the 76 sign. Then came King Kong.
TNT motorspots and speed vision. The good days.
It's all fun and games until you now have to pay to replace two police cruisers
