I'm a realtor. I just picked up an '89 Firebird Formula 350 same color and in absolutely excellent condition! The owner passed away and the personal representative of the estate sold it to me for $3,600. It has less than 60k miles and the sweet lady who passed bought it new. I think she only drove it to church it's amazingly clean! Just purchased 1/13/17 and didn't even drive it till today 1/16/17 (Monday when I was able to get it insured!) Just an amazing vehicle! This car has soul!

I bought mine new in June 1989. I still own it too. It was black with t-tops. Got it back on the road last year and drive it every now and then. It was repainted in 1994 gun metal gray. But that paint is peeling. So I will get it back to black when money allows.i love these cars and this one is awesome!

@@patientmental875 the paint in 1989 was horrible. 2 years in the clear coat was pealing really bad. I took very good care of it. In 1994 I had it painted the same color as my 1986 firebird. But that went bad because the factory paint was shot. Known problem with gm cars in the late 80s. So. I took it down to metal and repainted it to it's original color and graphics for it's 30th birthday. Not to each their own. My car is well maintained and cared for.

Wife drives one exactly like it. Have offered to get her a Caddy CTS or something, but NO! She loves her red Formula 350. My brother had bought it new in 89, and it was loaded. Has over 200k miles on it, and have never pulled a valve cover. Still corners at almost 1g, and is hoot to drive. I do whatever is necessary to maintain it for her. Replaced the shifter boot on New Years Eve in 17 degree cold.

Isn't this the same company that the KZread blogger worthless whips bought a white 89 Firebird formula from and then he came to find out that it was an odometer rollback? It was supposed to be a 20,000 plus mile vehicle ended up being over a hundred and twenty thousand miles. Not saying that whoever he bought it from was aware of it but people that are advertising such high-quality high-dollar Vehicles should be a lot more careful in the authenticity of the vehicle.

This was only 235hp. It felt like a lot at the time though, as there really wasn't much out there to compare domestically aside from the Mustang 5.0. Very few Camaros and Firebird/TAs from this era had the 350 as most came with the 305 for the V8 option, worst being the 305 TBI. The biggest crime was that you could not get a Z28 or Trans Am/Formula 350 with a manual. Auto was the only option with that engine.

And no it’s not legit fast but it’s definitely a blast to drive. So, to anyone who says these cars are lame definitely does not actually know what they are talking about.
