This is beautiful! So many of these have ended up being KITT conversions. Ideally I'd love to own two, one in the original factory spec and the other as a full conversion.

Now that's a way better speedometer gauge on a third gen Trans Am than what they put in from 82 to 85.

That grid pattern design really dressed up the flat black. And changing the speed from 80 to 140 mph made it look more busy and not so bland.

I hope he does keep it all original, and that he's not cursed like some others who bought cars off of me. I had a mint '99 S-10 with a custom fiberglass subwoofer install in the bed. It was totaled within a year. My 2010 Subie I sold was totaled 1.5yrs later. And my '95 Jeep Yj was rolled within 3yrs of new ownership. I fear the new owner will give it too much gas, spin out, jump a curb and a telephone pole ends it all. That's my worst nightmare!

Hey.. I just found your video here, and watched it. Cool car. I just wanted to say to you that i thought it would have been a much better video if after you did the walk around, you put the camera on your passenger seat and took us all for a ride! And while you did that? Talked with us about how you felt about it back in 1986 or when you first saw it? Then how and when you got it, and some of the fun times you may have had driving it around? This would make the video, YOU and your full experience with your car, interactive with your viewers.. Ok, well that is all i wanted to say.. I gave you a thumbs up! Get some of your old music on cassette, and go for a drive atleast once a week! To never forget that you are still a teenager inside yourself! : )

Thanks for your comment, and I truly appreciate it. You're 100% right, and that would have made a superior video. You should be a KZreadr! I'm impressed with myself in that I actually made an "Eh, it's ok" video. I'm not trying to be a KZreadr. I made the video as an aid to sell the car. It was a depressing video for me to make, knowing I was losing the family car. It did sell, and I cried when it left. I'm still in touch with the new owner, and he's taking care of her. She's in the paint shop as we speak. I couldn't afford to keep her, and treat her right. Hopefully she brings enjoyment to his family for many years as it did to my family. Thanks for the thumbs up!

@@tj_gsomething_ Hey Tj. I appreciate you getting back to me and letting me know your feelings.. Now i want to respond to that. 1- Obviously this car means alot to you! it sounds to me like someone made you sell it! ( i hope it wasnt your wife ) : / But regardless, this car made you cry! so it is obviously very important to you and a part of your life! ( and if your wife really loved you? she would understand that, know that, and would never have asked or told you to sell it! ) AND! would now try to help you get it back! Which is exactly what you need to do! GET THIS CAR BACK! You said you keep in touch with the person who bought it? So that person must know how much this car means to you! Im sure they will understand if you want to buy it back! And you absolutely should! I know the costs of living keep rising, and the governments all suck! BUT YOU CAN STILL AFFORD TO KEEP THIS CAR! the insurance is probably nothing! its a classic and i know in new york, a classic car can be insured for $40 a year!! ( read that again ) $40 A YEAR!!! so im sure you can do that! as for the maintenance? I saw the video, the car was in great condition, and you wouldnt have to do anything but change the oil and put gas in it. ( depending on how much you drove it? ) But even if you drove it everyday? you could use it as your daily driver and just have that car for use everyday. Just be careful where you park it and dont leave it out of your sight for too long! ( and ofcourse have some cut offs and a tire lock to secure it from being taken or towed on you ) Aside from that? brakes, belts, plugs, the occasional fuse, it wont be much.. And you have it garaged kept. That will help alot too. Seriously Tj, get your car back! FOR YOU! Also, i wanted to say, i am not looking at youtube from a "youtuber" point of view. Im just someone who likes seeing other peoples videos and basically meeting other people through their videos. THIS IS WHAT OUR ANTI SOCIAL SOCIETY HAS BECOME.. WE NEED TO BRING BACK ACTUAL IN PERSON CONVERSATIONS AND INTERACTIONS WITH EACH OTHER.. But i saw your video and thought, It would have been nice if this guy shared more of himself and his story and the car with us the viewers.. thats all i meant. Because you just basically made a silent video of you and your dog walking around the car, showing it, and then going back and fourth from the garage. When people look at these cars? they want to see them ride. They want a drivers view, looking out the drivers seat, behind the wheel, down the road as they see the rpms going up, : ) as if they were the ones driving it! lol.. And to hear you tell your stories and thoughts while you were driving? would have brought you and us the viewers together.. Like we were friends, all hanging out in your car going for a ride ( like all of us did at some time in our teenage lives ) AND STILL CAN AND DO! : ) which is the last part of my commentary! You are still YOUNG! yes, we are all aging.. BUT THAT IS JUST AGE! INSIDE WE ARE STILL THE SAME AS WE WERE WHEN WE BECAME "ADULTS" AND FOR MOST OF US THAT IS ABOUT 15-16yrs old! NO WE WERENT FULL GROWN MATURE EXPERIENCE ADULTS AT THAT AGE, BUT WE WERE OUR ADULT SELVES AND WE KNEW WHO WE ARE AND WHAT ARE DREAMS WERE! ITS JUST THAT AS WE GO ALONG IN THIS LIFE, SOCIETY AND UNEXPLAINABLE THINGS IT SEEMS.. KICK OUR ASSES, AND TRY TO MAKE US QUIT AND GIVE UP BEING WHO WE ARE, AND TRY TO MAKE US PEOPLE WHO WE ARENT.. SO WE HAVE TO FIGHT THAT! AND WE CAN! BUT WE WILL NEED JESUS TO HELP US ALL DO THAT.. ( ANOTHER COMMENTARY ) ANYWAY, GO TO JESUS TJ, ASK HIM TO RESTORE YOU INSIDE YOURSELF! AND HE WILL! AND THEN GO GET YOUR CAR BACK! AND ENJOY IT EVERY DAY YOU ARE HERE! AND ALWAYS BE YOURSELF! AND GO AFTER ALL THE POSITIVE HEALTHY DREAMS YOU HAVE IF YOU HAVENT ALREADY MADE THEM HAPPEN! ITS NOT OVER TIL ITS OVER! AND WE ARE ALL STILL HERE UNTIL WE LEAVE! SO.. BE YOU AND LIVE YOUR LIFE, AND DONT WORRY ABOUT THE MONEY! ITS A CONTROLLED AND MANIPULATED GAME! JUST WORRY ABOUT LIVING DAY TO DAY, HAVING A ROOF OVER YOUR HEAD, HEALTHY FOOD AND WATER, CLEAN CLOTHES AND A PASSION FOR LIFE AND LOVE! ( WE CAN ALL MAKE A POSITIVE DIFFERENCE IN OUR PARTS OF THE WORLD! AND WE ALL SHOULD BE DOING THAT TOO ) OK, IM HERE IF YOU HAVE A REPLY? ~

The 80’s joints are the best body style to me but the weakest engines, put a 2-300 hp one in one of them and equip it to handle it and it would’ve been hall of fame
