1989 Ferrari F40: My Twin-Turbocharged Lucky Charm

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

The F40 ranks among the most recognizable and beloved road cars ever produced, and so there is very little new left to say about the machine itself-we all know that it is a potent performer, a spartan go-kart powered by a twin-turbocharged V8 nestled up between tires of construction site proportions. But cars that attain levels of popularity like the F40 has don’t become any less special the more we fantasize about them, and though the spec sheet might be committed to the memories of many a supercar enthusiast, each example has its own story. In the case of Jasbir Dhillon, this F40 is woven into the fabric of his life beyond the excitement that it provides to the lucky soul in the driver’s seat. It’s a means to bond with his family, a link to his childhood and his past, and as something well beyond the definition of an inanimate object, it’s a piece of his being that he has plans to hold onto well into the future.

I absolutely love the fact that he actually drives, enjoys, and shares the F40 with his family rather than keeping it in the garage 24/7. I know too many people with cars not even half as amazing that won't let their family or children near it. That really kills the passion for a lot of people. This guys gets it!

Well, Jasbir Dhillon's license plate says "Tennessee" and his English is better than many other Americans I've encountered. I think the point here is that this very fortunate gentleman owns a most admirable piece of art that just happens to be capable of a bit over 200 mph. He and his beautiful family appear to enjoy and appreciate it far more than most Ferrari, Porsche, BMW, and Mercedes owners I've crossed paths with over the last 30 years or so. A Ferrari owner who has to take the time to get the bugs off the front of his F40 is a enthusiast I'd enjoy spending time with!

Try living in IL .. land of the grid roads and any windy road has a 30mph limit (if u ever find one 40-50mph.. it’s as good as it gets here). I don’t drive a Ferrari (I’d prefer a Lotus Exige 260 or a 997.2 GT3 RS.. but the F40 is def my favorite of the prancing horses by a country mile. ).. but my little Veloster N loves roads like he was driving on but it’s so rare to experience. I’ll prob head down to Tennessee in the spring for a drive .. I know some guys that drive some roads down there that are heavenly

What only an F40 gives to people like me was born in the same year of this jewel is to have every time you see the feeling that it is a giant model to move and not a "simple" self-driving. In the early 90s in Italy, but I believe all over the world, the model of the sports car or the sports car poster was always a very red F40. Thanks Enzo for making the car with the little horse famous in the world :)
