Man that temp sender is easy to get at on this engine! Mine has a straight six and it's buried in the back of the engine. Most people never find it in their lifetime 😅

I just put in mechanical gauges tbh i like having the numbers, its saved me a couple times.

The sensor is 2 wires and only used by the computer. Nothing is shared from one to the other, meaning yes both systems have different purposes and completely isolated. The two wires one uses voltage sent from the computer also has isolated ground from the battery or chassis
