Cars & Coffee at Chrysler Tech Center May 19, 2024. This is a 1989 (I believe) Chrysler TC by Maserati. This is NOT a Chrysler LeBaron! These were handmade cars that production was unfortunately delayed. This one has a very desirable 16 valve engine with a 5 speed manual transmission of which only 500 were made. This car is an unusual black paint.

I believe this is Anthony Prior's car. While they were known as "Turbo IV" under development, nobody calls them that because the 1989/90 2.2 VNT cars got that moniker. These are simply known as "the Masi" or "Masi 16V". Factory they are rated at 200hp/220tq at the crank. They can EASILY make more power. There were actually 501 produced...the last one being special built for an executive. It is the only 1991 that got the 16V (all of the rest were V6 cars). It is Arctic White with a Bordeaux interior (not offered in production after 1989). BTW, that car isn't black, it's Royal Cabernet Pearl (to be all technical with it).

@rockersurgeon11 Thanks for filling in the details. I had a brain fade moment on calling these 16V - which I think is the best of these 2.2L turbo motors. It was great too see not one but two of these at the show.
