1989 Cadillac Brougham 5.0L Exterior & Startup
Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары
The car was imported to Sweden in 2004 from Canada. This very car rolled out from the General Motors factory in Arlington.Texas 27th of April 1989. It belonged to the Ministery of Transportation in a city (don't remember which) in north western Canada, close to Alaska. To be a Canadian car this Cadillac got almost no rust and is in rather good shape. Everything on it and in it works.

Ain't it great!
That horn says "4500lbs comin at ya. You'd better move out of my way."
These cars bring back so many memories. My grandparents had two of them, yellow and maroon. God they were awesome.
I had 2 1988 Brougham, one dark blue, and one just like this. But the top was really rough so I replaced it with a red one to match the pin stripe. It looked really nice, as does yours.
I own a 1989 Cadillac Fleetwood brougham too! :D a blue one. and it's in great shape like this car. no rust, no scratches, and it runs great. its not the d'elegance model, nope, just the basic Fleetwood brougham model like this one.
Nice Fleetwood cadillac had a 90 the truck close mechanism was cool didn't always close when it was cold though
nice paintjob dude, goes well with the chrome!
sweet! But you know that the models from 1987-1992 is only called "Brougham" Because the fleetwood became and was a separat model. Fleetwood Brougham came back between the years 1993-1996.
Perfect one! That's a real shame for me to have the same one only in 1/43 by NEO Scale Models recently :)
That is a badass car for sure ! / anonymous fan
I have an 87 exactly like that
nice car .. Cadillac should be driven at least once a week or you will have a lot of problems (big engine shouldn't set for a long time)
Går den genom besiktningen med röda blinkers eller har du fått hitta på någon specialare inför varje besiktning? :)

tazaxx21 it has since 4 years back, now it needs a new engine.
all caddys had to have a resonator on them to keep that v8 quiet
Hahahahaha! Sweet dude! :D
I have the same car
its a bit noisy but clean body
Vad kostade importen? har alltid drömt om att köpa fingjorda personbilar som denna. Volvo 740 kan bli riktigt snygg om man stylar till den rätt men den toppar inte bilar som denna.
My 5.0 in my 86 Fleetwood was a dog. 3 mechanics could not figure it out. Once it warmed up it turned to crap. Had to sell.

+azimmey Could be a numerous amount of things. I would have pulled the codes from the ECM and worked my way to a solution from them. My 5.0 ran rough and would not idle when it warmed up, turned out to be worn valve guide seals letting excesive amounts of oil up into the valve covers. This excessive oil was then churned and created a thick oil vapor sucked up by the PCV system and injected into the cylinders which caused sparkplug and O2 sensor fouling. This caused the engine to run extremely poor and as you say, no mechanics could figure it out (i live in sweden and most people have never seen a Brougham), i got myself a workshop service repair manual and managed to error search and do it all myself. Now she's fixed up and runs like a dream,,and i got to know the engine inside out.

Bad EGR valves and clogged EGR ports is the usual culprit for that problem on these 307's. The intake manifold overheats and leans out the carb when the EGR valve gives out. Won't set a trouble code either. Sometimes it's best to take your car to a technician. Mechanics are usually just part changers.

I'm in Sweden, we only got 95 & 98 octane available and it's at least 5% ethanol or more in the fuel :/
Can you lend me the car for a while lol

Definitely, I've had several 80-89 full size caddys. Unless it's really nice and cheap I will never own another 4.1. Currently have an 89 brougham sure wish I could find another 80 with the carbed 6.0 though!
