she is and was a force of talent. She is a genius at marketing. Smarter than most of us. But her politics right or wrong exposes her to public scrutiny which certainly will not receive the same appreciation. As a matter of fact, she and Barbra Streisand have sullied their careers to the point, the joy of sharing their greatness is gone.

But thats not why she wasnt outrageous. She could be at times but she saved that side of herself for the stage. Plus she aged and evolved. The Divime Miss M was a character she came up with, but after the show, she could take that mask off and be herself. And she did it on purpose so that she wouldnt get dragged down like rock stars before her. If she had not of changed she would eventually become a caricature of herself and would likely not have the awesome success she achieved.
