Most people with foxes have aftermarket stereos installed. Those usually have a USB connection that will charge phones.

How bout for a 1983 with no cup holders

should have kept the cigar lighter by just making accessible by lifting up the cup holder and making a tab opening for a cord to fit thru.

That piece is about $80 too much. For $160 it should be color dyed already.

OMG yassssss finally. Looks amazing! It seriously looks OEM! I'm not gonna lie I'm pretty excited to get this. That interior is beautiful by the way. Mine has small stains from multiple drinks falling over cause you know.....no cup holders....yet.

Just another part for me to buy. Great work guys

Guess since I have manual mirrors on my 93 LX, Ill just mod a USB power switch into the power mirror location if I get one of these.

I understand the manufacturing and design but i agree $160 is too much for me. Not trying to be a jerk but also at that price i would expect it to be pre painted. Its awesome that you guys are doing you're own original parts though this changes the game for all fox body owners and hope you guys keep making more.

I just put 2 cup holders inset in the old coin holder after deleting the arm rest. Works like a charm and I can still charge my phone.

$160 a bit pricey

I REALLY like this!! Especially since I am in the process of restoring my '93 LX 5.0. However, removing the cig lighter will remove the ability to charge your cell phone. Is there any ideas about developing a new place to mount a power point? Perhaps the cubby hole below the radio?

I fabbed a console like this about 10 years ago, I moved the cigarette lighter back to where the rectangular section to set the phone, I did stick a dummy plug in it so nothing can drop down in it when not in use.

i could probably 3D print my own design that incorporates the cigarette lighter.

I put a USB power outlet and an AUX input for the stereo in mine. I will now be adding wireless charging since i now have a phone that wireless charges.

Well this is a nice upgrade for a fox but I'm not sure its $160 good.

LMR has updated the console to include dual USB ports. It’s on their website

Kevin - The 'updated' console top panel you speak of is manufactured by Daniel Carpenter Restoration. Our panel(the one in this video) is still available. We added the DCR version to our extensive Fox Body line up to offer more selection for the enthusiast. -Landan

This is an amazing product and for sure wanting to get this for my fox, just the only problem is the cup holder is just like the 99 new edge. Where even a small water bottle gets in the way of shifting. Good intentions but placement has more to be desired. If they changed the phone placement and cup holders, maybe a little better. Overall good product

Can you still use the flip cargo holder and armrest from the stock unit or do you have to delete it to use this?

Would be perfect if you could incorporate a built in usb charger port that converts the cig lighter power to it. Or even wireless charging into the phone holder spot

Landan about how thick is the plastic under the smartphone area? Wondering if a wireless charger pad would work under there hidden out of sight but still able to juice up a phone wirelessly.

Great idea but why not make the coin holder have a wireless charger seeing how you would get rid of the cigarette outlet?

It seems to me all of late model restoration stuff it's just a tad off from the stock stuff. For example how he says closely resembles the factory finish the same problems exist with a lot of their products such as their center caps for the pony Wheels. It says they sit a little past flush but if you're handy with a Dremel tool you can get them to work. So from what I understand the late model restoration stuff isn't quite exactly the way you want it. Including the 6 piece headlight frame kits that some people say you have to drill out to get the adjusting bolts to work

So I see you opted for the small box instead of hanging it from a wire for paint. LMR budget cuts I suppose

My interior is gray already, will I still need to repaint it to make it look right, or does it match the original gray color from Ford ?

I thought they had one that used the cigarette lighter power for two USB plugs in front of the cup holders.

$160.00? I think that's a little pricey. Not that I'm cheap but I think I'll just live with my infamous broken ash tray until I get it fixed one of these days :-) Besides, when I was driving my '91 GT on a daily basis, I didn't drink or eat in the car. Having cup holders will just tempt somebody to bring a drink in my car and end up spilling the shit everywhere!

It would have been nice if you included USB charging ports that plugged into cigarette lighter connector. I'm buying one anyway since I think I can do that myself. :-)

Now, how will I charge my phone?

2 problems the ridiculous price & the fact there's no plug. Granted easy to install one but why an extra big phone holder if you can't even charge your tunes lol. The price should come with new switch & plug. It's a cool piece but I rather just jam my drink in between the ebrake & seat then pay that much for a cup holder

Should have engineered it to swap the hand brake to the driver side while you were designing it. Should have also add USB ports. Most importantly why does LMR still have a stock shifter in that car.
