1986 Yamaha 4AC 4hp Outboard Motor

I recently acquired this 1986 Yamaha 4AC. It was a deal I couldn't pass up since I only had to pay €60 for both the motor and the external tank! It was converted to an external fuel tank (AS model) somewhere in the past.
I adjusted the carburetor, put in some fresh gear lube, gave everything a good clean, and I put new water resistant grease on all moving parts.
It starts in one pull, and it runs very well and quietly. I did a compression test and got 163 psi. The 4hp models have slightly higher compression than the 5hp models. This motor has a factory reccomended mix ratio of 100:1 with TC-W3 oil.

How many bars of compression must it have?

Typically the 4 hp have slightly higher compression than the 5 hp models. Most of the times they have 160-165 psi (the 5 hp should have around 135-140 psi).
What’s that ticking noise? I have same motor and is it normal?

This is just the normal sound of a 1 cylinder 2 stroke Yamaha. Of course, you can also hear it shaking a bit in the barrel.

Hi, it could have multiple causes. Does the motor increase rpm's when you pump the primer bulb in the fuel line while running at full throttle?
Hey, i have a Johnson A-25, i think it is very early version.. but i am no expert.. would you maybe be interested?
