The Harrier formation was pure porn.... I still have problems with my Harrier but i looove it. The only fighter i would fly instead of the Harrier will be the Eurofighter once it is released.

I was a member of the 48th TFW/548th AGS/492nd AMU during the Libya raid. We covered the operation by having a local SALTY NATION exercise. They informed us of the operation by pulling the entire squadron to the middle of ramp and briefing us. We flew our normal exercise sorties minus the 24 aircraft (18 strikers, 6 air spares).

@@VET0264 Hey Chief thanks for your service. On the subject of aircraft, I worked at the end of the runway at Barksdale AFB in the late seventies and when the B-52's had a scramble, real mission or training you could not hear yourself think for a good 30 minuets. It was almost like placing your hand over your heart when we say the pledge of allegiance. What a great feeling. Thanks again, Les.

Top notch flying is an understatement, and the mini airshow as the end was great. I do wish the correct aircraft where available for these missions, but we can't have everything. I would love to see more World War 2 naval assets like F-4F Wildcats, F-6F Hellcats, F7F Tigercat, F4U Corsairs, TBM/TBF Avengers, and SBD Dauntless'. (NOTE: I did not include the F-8f2 Bearcat as World War II was over before the aircraft saw combat service.)

Did we loose anybody. hahahhahahhahahahah maybe one or two. hahahhahaha the real mission only lost 1. You guys lost practically a whole squadron. Many bombs hit open dirt. Can't say when was the last time you guys bombing was so bad. There was one hornet who kept hitting a radar over and over again with 20mm and that damn thing wouldn't blow up and kept spinning. Super Radar this one was.
