1986 Cadillac Fleetwood

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

After purchasing the Fleetwood Medal Body Company in 1925, the Fisher Body Company reserved the usage of the historic Fleetwood name for its Cadillac division. This trend continued throughout many years and the Fleetwood Brougham name was used to distinguish the top of the line models throughout the Cadillac vehicle lineup.
GR Auto Gallery is pleased to present this incredibly clean 1986 Cadillac Fleetwood Brougham for your consideration. A three owner car, the mileage of 38,088 is believed to be actual. The Medium Blue Firemist exterior is paired with a dark blue leather interior which is in excellent condition. As you’d expect with the Fleetwood Brougham nameplate, the car is nicely equipped with such features as automatic climate control, symphony sound audio system, dual power seats, auto dimming rear view mirror, tilt and telescopic steering wheel and many more luxury features. Posh rear wheel drive road cars like this aren’t made any more and with its low mileage, this fine ride should provide many more miles of smiles for the next owner. Hurry before this one floats away from you!

BEAUTIFUL!!!!! This is one of the BEST Cadillac's and one of the BEST body style's of this era. Minus the engine, I have zero complaints. This is one of the few cars that actually did not get old or forgotten about as most other did during these years. Timeless design and class!

Fred Crane Yes. This car is a great example. No complaints at all. I love the car but just not crazy about the engine used during these years. I driven several over the years and had a family member own one for a long time, they were just too underpowered. The 80's and also 70's were two decades that just didn't produce great engines. Power ratings and reliability were very low as were most cars during those years. But overall excellent car. To me this is the best body style for a Cadillac Fleetwood or Fleetwood brougham. There was a reason why this generation was the longest produced than previous Fleetwoods and the next and last Fleetwood which took a dive.

I owned an 87 from 1998-2004. The 5.0 Oldsmobile engine was a smooth responsive performer with a dead smooth idle. But it was short on power. 0-60 took around 15 seconds with the 2.73 rear end and 200-4R transmission. 140hp just wasn't enough for this car.

***** Yes that is a great swap of an engine! I bet that car is now a much more fun car to drive. :) That is the same thing that I would do if I were to buy another old Fleetwood brougham.

***** Yes I know what you mean. I owned an 81 Sedan Deville and an 85 Eldorado Biarritz earlier this year but sold them both at different times. They were beautiful and garaged kept with rather low miles. The 85 Eldorado had the HT4100 V8 and the 81 had the 6.0L 864 engine which both cars ran great but both were very under powered and were complete dogs! I still have an 84 Seville that also has the HT4100 V8 but is the proud recipient of a much needed engine swap. It is a current project at the moment doing away with the dreaded 4100 and swapping it with a modern Cadillac 32 valve V8. And I can't wait til its done. :)

body on frame essentially the same car from 1964 to 1992....the 90s 350 was a big improvement in the engine bay over the 1980s 5 liter olds engine......all were beautiful automobiles though....I had a 64 Fleetwood, a 70 Sedan Deville, and an 87 Brougham Delegance, all drove beautifully...the very first order of any luxury automobile is roominess...That dont exist today.....

By our knowledge, the 2-door (Coupe DeVilles) were made from 1977 to 1984. The sedans were made a few years later until 1992. Hope that helps!

The 80s was not a good era for Cadillac. But at least it's not a 'Cimeron' which was a Chevy Citation in disguise and the biggest POS ever to wear the Cadillac name.
