1985 Wk 16 Dolphins Shut Out Bills 28-0; Highlights With Radio Call

Спорт

The Miami Dolphins close out the 1985 regular season with a 28-0 shutout of the Buffalo Bills and clinch the AFC East Division Title. The game included a brawl between Mark Duper and a Buffalo DB that earned both ejections during the first half of the game. Rick Weaver, Hank Goldberg and Henry Barrow provide the radio call.

This was the beginning of one the most underrated dynasties in football history. I remember the Bills lull from 83-87. Just garbage. One of 5 teams that you circled on your calendar as a sure win. Indianapolis, Tampa, New Orleans, Kansas City and Buffalo were fascinatingly bad. But in 86 they started putting the pieces together. Still garbage but the GM and Coach were patient. Kelly, Reed, Smith, Bennett and on and on. What they did to the Dolphins in this game reminded me of what Edmonton did to San Jose in the NHL this year. Edmonton was like "You guys are the old fogies that we grew up watching as teenagers and we are going to bully you because we are young and have chip on our shoulder." That was precisely what the Bills did in this game.

I was a big Dolphins fan at this time, at that time you could count the Bills as a win, but you see some talent
