    Hope your Hi Lift has a lock on it, don't want stuff sprouting legs and walking off. Ben T Syncro stove grates would be a nice addition for your pots and pans. Everything's looking good and can't wait for your next adventure.

    I make sure everything is locked up before leaving the van anywhere haha not that it will stop people but it’ll make it a little harder for them.

    Absolutely great van build! I have an 87 Westy that is coming close to a full restoration and I am interested in understanding more about your front suspension. I’m getting ready to buy upper bushings as well as upper and lower ball joints, and radius arm bushings. From Go Westy, I already have the Go Westy inch and half lift on the front but yours seems much higher, what did you use and was it hard to get aligned with that kind of lift?

    @@Sebastianstonum wait a minute, all those previous engines broke?! Haha! Here I was going to say you are probably a pro by now at building and swapping engines in and out! lol There’s more story to be told here. You have more content for future videos! 😉 You could sprinkle these stories into your regular adventure episodes. Talk about a particular engine and what went wrong while you are driving or after you crack a beer open at your destination for that day. Or make a dedicated video, just some ideas for ya. 🙂 Those ALHs are pretty hardy engines, should serve you pretty well!

    Great build, I totally thought it was a syncro! Where is your fridge/cooler since you removed the Westy fridge? I didn't see one by the slider door where most seem to mount their larger Dometic/Engel/ARB etc

    Loved this informative video. Thank you. I'm curious you mentioned upgraded mounts for the Longer ARB awning. Are the mounts home built or did you buy them somewhere? I know that the standard mounts for the ARB do not permanently screw into the side of the van.

  • @Sebastianstonum

    @Sebastianstonum

    It does not screw into the roof. There are brackets that are sold for the gutter on the van that the awning will bolt to. I got my gutter mounts from gowesty

    Nice walkthrough Sebastian. Did you add the snorkel pre air filter to this TDI or did you have it with the last motor? Finally got my Vanagon after much patience. Out of Utah, I’ve heard you mention Utah in other content. Pretty stoked!

    I added the Donaldson filter with the snorkel after the TDI swap but it’ll also work with a stock setup or Subaru. I have a garage in salt lake!

  • @Sebastianstonum

    Stock front brakes and gw rear disk conversion. The caliper breaker needed to be filed down to not rub on the rotor. Other than that it’s a pretty solid kit.
