RIP Jacques. What a release he had.
Love watching these Classics!!
Marshall slapped out that messenger in Durbin's eyeball 😄 21:12
When you say today that there is nothing on, think back to 1985.
Thank you for capturing and posting. Miss this alley in Seattle just off of Holman Road NW...

No surprise that the PBA tournaments were hosted by Leilani Lanes for so many years...what a well-run center! In 1989, my youth bowling team flew from Green Bay to Seattle for the Junior Swiss competition. Nothing like being 16 and allowed to run loose in Seattle for a week.

Wayne Webb is Truly a Great one Handed Bowler.
When you put the power on the ball like Dennis Jacques does, you can get away with dressing like a banana.

Dennis Jacques and Wayne Webb have bowled some exciting matches
That reminds me, I left my yellow dot soaking all night, should really grip the lane now!

Andrew Phillips Mark Fahy battled back with six strikes in his final eight shots for a 234-225 victory against Tom Baker, which netted him a check for $27,000. The victory was a big personal comeback for the 1981 Sporting News PBA Rookie of the Year.
Irv Brown wasn't quite clear on what "perfect" means in bowling.

I caught that too. Perfect means no opens to hi . I guess on some beginner levels, no opens may be considered perfect.
The semi final match was exciting and close
Dennis Jacques had a great first 5 frames. It demoralizes your opponent. Congratulations to his new marriage and for winning this tournament. Thanks for the video.

He just passed recently. Not sure the circumstances, but he was fairly young.

@@beeemm2578 I am sorry to hear that. Thanks for the information. I always enjoyed watching him bowl.
@mrbowling300 1. Wasn't this the first year that ESPN did the PBA tour? Specifically the spring/summer events. 1a. And before ESPN, didn't USA network used to do the spring/summer PBA events? 2. My recollection was for years, ESPN had the spring/summer PBA events on either Wednesday or Saturday nights? 3. And the fall events from 84-91 were Saturday afternoons on NBC.

I don't believe the USA network was around in 85.
Dennis Jacques puts a tremendous amount of roll on the ball.

What kind of ball was Durbin rolling? I can’t decipher what’s under the Lightning Bolt logo.
