This race was ran approximately 20 min. after I was born 33 years ago. I was given the poster for this particular race by a friend that passed away recently. I cherish it for more than one reason now. Thanks for putting this video up.

That's pretty neat! I thought it originated with his 4 straight wins in September 1991.

Thanks for upload, confirmation that the "roval" is not a new idea, great Sportcar races there!
Wow! What a great video for how old it is. The picture is so clear.
First camera time for Larry McReynolds right here
Dr Jerry Punch with hair AND a mustache. That was back in the day! He’s an awesome person on top of being such a good reporter.
I feel like some Skoal "Long Cut" smokeless tobacco, because I feel like the refreshing taste of tobacco, but I don't feel like lighting up.

I was just wondering something and now I might not know you may know or you people may not no who I'm talking about but does anybody know if Johnny hayes is still alive. Some of y'all be like he is the guy broad casting race but Johnny Hayes was a lot bigger of a person and really big into sport that people don't even have a clue really is and myself probably don't even give a damn but nothing really put more money into the sports NASCAR especially in this area probably anybody else wants to wise and stuff because he sponsored three cars and I just wondering if the guy was still around. Somebody told me that he died back in 95 or 96 and that's why the 33 team which is not true the reason they lost go and basically the reason Winston is not in NASCAR the back of the company or anything now is because of Bill Clinton's one stroke of the pen that destro yed but hasn't won hazard still alive
why does the intro say Harrisburg NC when Charlotte Motorspeedway is in Concord NC I just noticed that
I LOVED TO COUNT THE NUMBER OF TIMES RUSTY SAID "BUTTUM" IN HIS INTERVIEWS.

If actual cats raced he would call them all drivers.
wish we could know what happend to the motor of Harrys Car it was still going under its own power
Been reading Humpy Wheelers book so interesting Tim Richmond died very young not racing.... must read for any real Stock Car fan
Gotta love the Money for Nothin' playing in the intro. Very mid 80s. Those Cleveland Fords built by Ernie Elliott were monstrous on the superspeedways, but they were terribly unreliable and Awesome Bill was just garbage on short tracks.
random question lol what's the name of the song at the begging? and thanks for the upload nothing better then old school nascar!!

Rumor has it the song is about Pauly Shore, a former VJ at MTV when that station used to be relevant. There's nothing on the interweb to confirm it, so it'll probably die as a rumor, as well.

That certainly would make sense.
There is no doubt that Cale was a lap behind after Pond blew his engine. Typical NASCAR
