You couldn't get a sardine in the cloud casino on Saturday nights, in those years, Roosevelt raceway was the harness track of the ages. I will never forget the Westbury oval. reminds me of great times with my Dad.

Sad when you think about it..we used to head to "Nathans"afterward @ night of racing with my parents. The whole Al DAmato, Developers, politians,etc.. scam for land, cash in the 80's,and Roosevelt was a goner..think about how a "Race-Casino" here at Roosevelt would have done, instead of a dump that needed to be torn down anyhow at Yonkers raceway

very few could accelerate around the turn like OTRA.....he was flawless

division street sat a perfect 2 hole trip behind butler bg that night at freestate. He did not wire the field !

Just past the quarter pole Walter Case pulls out of three hole Buddy looks over his shoulder Walter takes back. The rest is history!
