If Lachance ever drew the rail on the half mile oval it was lights out lol. I made a lot of money betting Lachance those were the good old days. You know you were going to get a honest drive. And Stan Bergstein didn't call the race that is Jack E. Lee at Roosevelt and the voice of Yonkers was the Bullet Bob Meyer. Yes, WOR and racing from New York classic.

DOC FELLA AN LACHANCE TRACK RECORD IN 156 SECOND ANOTHER CANADIAN RAY REMMEN AN UMBRELLA FELLA RAY IS THE GRANDSON OF THE GREAT HORSEMEN FOREST WILSON

Doc's Fella and Caramore were two of the most relentless half-milers in their day. While this was a gritty effort by Doc, hardly his greatest race. It was a pretty lame Open Handicap field other than the Fellas. No Caramore, no Division Street, no George S. Hell, I could run the final quarter faster than Slo-bart Star. Sure wish somebody would post the 1984 Levy won by Caramore. I'm tired of seeing the 1985 Levy Final that On the Road Again turned into an exhibition. What a beast!

Hardly Docs greatest race. His second place finish against OTRA last race in the slop was his no pun intended his gutsiest
