1984 (Modern Trailer)
Фильм және анимация
1984 (1984)
Tribute/Fan/Updated/Modernized Trailer Edit by Dan McBride
Part of my trailer project - breathing some new life into older, forgotten or overlooked films. Mainly to spread awareness of these great films and hopefully inspire more people to seek them out.
Director - Michael Radford
Synopsis - In a totalitarian future society, a man, whose daily work is re-writing history, tries to rebel by falling in love.
The official trailer really just didn't do much for this film in my opinion. I wanted to at least try to create something that felt authentic to the film, something that felt Orwellian and ominous and gave the feeling of a foreboding future. Let me know what you think! Do you prefer the original trailer?

Way better trailer. This one actually captures the disturbing tone of the story unlike the original trailer that makes it look all happy

I like the original trailer as it's shows the insanity and absurdity of the situation.
How I wish there is a high budget remake of this by someone like Christopher Nolan. Good edit but might wanna make the plot more ambiguous for a trailer so theres no spoilers

A Nolan / Zimmer collaboration would be absolutely awesome
I think this trailer you did portrayed it pretty well. The original one, felt too upbeat, when the movie and the novel itself is portraying a dystopian future. I’ve never read the novel, but I do know what it’s about since I researched it. So I am planning on listening to an audiobook of it. Overall this was really well done, it fit the atmosphere and main theme of the novel really well!

the intention ‘professional’ shots is to make you feel immersed in the films’ world. So your point is kind of stupid
Possibly the closest film I've seen that is a near perfect adaptation of the novel. I'm struggling to think of another.

👍👍💯. Amazing trailer to an amazing film
Went back to the original trailer on IMDB, it was frighteningly good. Also read the book. Love them both. Modern trailer, not nearly as dark and too many spoilers.
Incredible trailer, the ambiance and the signification of the book are exactly here. Something strike me in the video, when the protagonist is bring to the torture room, we hear a crowd shouting something, the sound looks a lot like "Hi Hitler" of Nazis
The year 1984 was not that bad, but today times remind me more of Orwell's novel.

Who would you cast for a new 1984 movie? My picks Winston: An older, more grizzled Christian Bale, he's already British so he's got the accent down. I feel like he could portray the character well. Julia: Idk yet, gimme suggestions O'Brien: Bryan Cranston, in Breaking Bad we see both that loving teacher side and the angry fanatic side of him. He's also got the glasses so I feel like he would be a good pick Goldstein: Idk yet, gimme suggestions Big Brother: Idk yet gimme suggestions Parsons: Patton Oswalt, feel like he could give off that innocent, stupid personality. Mr Charrington: Mads Mikkelsen. Give him some old man makeup, he could get that soft spoken-ness down, but when the big reveal comes he can look like his normal self, kinda has that commanding thought police look to him. Syme: idk yet, gimme some suggestions. Ampleforth: Keanu Reeves. I'm joking, gimme suggestions.
