I kid you not even a look alike could go anywhere without being mobbed Micheal Jackson mania was real back then. Those were some crazy times. LOL😬😆

I'm grateful to have been able to experience the 80s in general, never mind the amazing glitz and glamour of that era... Usually and especially music artists, grab the attention of a particular age group during the beginning of their careers. Michael Jackson was not the usual music artist... He grabbed the attention of children, teenagers, college aged and even parents during the 80s... And everybody had Michael Jackson paraphernalia... From, notebooks, posters, record and cassette collections, to trending clothing styles such as the red leather jackets and pants and the white glove, and outward appearances like the lookalikes in this video... Just hearing his songs played on the radio made women scream in excitement! Magazine covers, television appearances, and concerts, were the must sees. Michael Jackson took the 80s by storm! And it was the best storm to ever hit my childhood in the 70s and 80s...

I was there 💯!!! Imagine a world where Michael Jackson was mentioned every single day.. on the news.. in every magazine.. all the magazines for teens/kids.. new books weekly.. on tv constantly.. you could buy the bubblegum/stickers in every shop that sold candy and gum.. and posters, buttons and badges.. where on sale everywhere!!! And this is all before discussing that the Thriller album was Everywhere!! And the soundtrack for that entire era.. 83-84 - then imagine MTV/ music videos were still very new.. and Michael Jackson videos were like mini Motion pictures! I.e.- Thriller.. It was Michael mania!!! For Real!!!! Anyone who was really there understands exactly what I mean if I say... “the rolling stone red and white shirt picture “ “The brown leather jacket and blue jeans with a guitar belt poster” and “The yellow vest and bow tie with white pants and shirt poster”!!! If you know... you know! RIP Magical Michael! 💜
