1983 Yamaha Virago XV750 Cruise

Summer 2019 GoPro Hero 7 footage of my 1983 Yamaha Virago XV750 out for a little weekend cruise. I was getting a feel for the bike stock before I took it apart. I made a video with some of these clips already but thought I should make another video also using clips not used before. It's a pretty fun bike stock and pretty comfortable.

I had one of those back in the mid 80s best bike I ever had. For city driving and short haul freeway cruising it was a fabulous bike.

MIght be getting one of these to ride while I'm in Japan. Wasn't sure what it would be like, but watching this just reminded me of the fun I had on my Sportster before I had to sell it. If all goes to plan, I'm gonna be very happy in Japan. 😊

I have a very old one of these I just got from a neighbor. I need so much help with this bike. Is there anyway you could help me? Or do you know a place where I could get help
Might go buy one this week my bikes in the shop need something to hold me over looks awesome

It's awesome! The only thing is the weird starter noises from time to time. Other than that, I love the sound and looks!

@@IsaacPel that’s the starter bendix gear, always goes bad with these bikes. Easy fix and worth the trouble to have such a solid bike

Thanks! I'm not sure since I picked up the bike used but it's a 2 into 2 system(two exhaust exits) that I think are pretty much straight pipes. I think they are connected through a tiny port though.
I'm thinking about getting one of these as my first bike. Is it a bad idea?

My 1st street bike was a 1985 Honda Magna 500cc, and I thought it was a great 1st bike and handled the freeway pretty well. Didn't look the best, but everything worked on it. The Virago is pretty similar but only thing that's sucks is the starter. As long as you have a good battery and connections you should be fine.
