2,227 actual miles!! Claimed to be an all original survivor car. It looks like it just rolled off the assembly line. Loaded with options, it's luxurious. We acquired this from a very meticulous collector that has ultra low mile cars.
EXTERIOR: Really amazing condition. I inspected it closely and believe the claim that it is original. The body has absolutely no rust or damage. No door dents, no garage scrapes. All the panels fit as they did from the factory. The plastic filler between the bumper and the car are excellent (they typically crack). The paint has a very glossy finish. I'm walking around it for the second time now, I don't see a flaw. It has all bright shiny trim. Upfront the grill, bumpers, the rub strips, bumpers and headlight bezels are all mint. On the sides the lenses, body moldings, stainless trim, remote mirrors are all pristine. In back the bumper and taillights are mint. The padded Landau roof is pristine. The glass is crystal clear. The window seals on top of the doors is brittle and have some cracks. The door jambs still look brand new. The rubber weatherstrips are still soft. It has original stickers, sill plates and door edge gaurds. The wire wheel hubcaps sparkle. I assume the Firestone tires were replaced, they like new.
INTERIOR: Very luxurious. All original interior is in excellent condition. Pillow top velour upholstery on split seats in the front. Both are 6-way power and the passenger side reclines. Carpet is mint, has optional carpet floormats with no wear. Headliner is droopy, from age the foam backing turns to dust. Dash area is mint, there's no cracks in the dash pad or the plastic. All the chrome sparkles, lenses are crystal clear. The leather wrapped steering wheel is not worn, it is on a tilt column. The door panels are mint. Someone must have leaned hard on the driver side armrest and left a dent. Other optional features include Tempamatic climate control, cruise control, power windows and locks, lighted vanity mirror, Twighlight Sentinel lights, rear defog and more.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: Also exceptionally clean. Everything looks as it did the day it left the factory. The pollution pump, wires, hoses are proper. All the components have clean factory finishes. The optional 5.0 V-8 runs perfectly.

Beautiful car! I wanted one of these so bad when I was finishing undergraduate degree in 81 and was expecting to go out and get a job. Ended up never getting it and stayed for grad school. Still find the Toronado a beautiful, desirable car.

Toronado was like a Eldorado but a different style The most amazing thing that they kept for many years was front-wheel drive

This is a great looking car. The Olds 307 was fine in this car - I recall them having plenty of power to move this car around with some zip and plenty of low end grunt. The only time you noticed its limitations was at wide open throttle. The Toronado/Riviera/Eldorado was the top of the totem pole in personal luxury coupes, without going to Lincoln.

I had a mint "looking" 1980 Toronado very low mileage in1982. Cream color exterior, tan leather interior, padded tan Landau style roof, wire wheels. I had so many problems but I loved the car! Aluminum intake cracked so I replaced it along with the carb which had problems, electric antenna cable snapped, load levelers failed, roof pillar support rotted away as the electric roof drain hoses leaked into the foam inside the pillar so I molded a new one out of fiber glass from the existing rotted one and air chiseled it off. (perfect visual repair)The brand new Eldorados were rotting before being sold! I got a few nice dates inside of that car and received many compliments.

When I was growing up in the UK in the 70's and 80's, this was the type and style of car I associated with the USA. Beautiful cars then, you just don't get this shape anymore, real shame.

The Olds Toro from 84 reminds me of the Cadillac Eldorado's of the same year. I love these cars as I was over in the USA a lot during the late 1970s/1980s.

Hi Jay. This is not how l remember Toronado's 8.4litr front wheel drive monsters....lovely! And they certainly were very handsome , so this is not for me but! A time warp example and except for the minor issues , virtually brand new ! A new car for less than $30k ? It's a no brainer ! Thanks Jay !

That is super nice example of this car. I had a 1979 one with the 350 in 1990. Drove it for about 7 years. A very comfortable and satisfying car. We visited The Volo Museum around six years ago. If this car is gone, the museum has hundreds more to look at. You will not regret a visit to Volo Illinois. Greetings from Canada, your newest subscriber is me!

Nice. I owned a 1983 Olds Cutlass and I remember sitting in one of these that was on the showroom floor. I thought it was an amazing car at the time. I couldn't afford it at the time, but I could afford this one. This one should sell quickly.

With Front-Wheel-Drive G.M cars of this era, I submit that it's to your advantage to point out how spacious the floor is front and rear, (due to NO transmission hump and and NO obtrusive center console) both of which would otherwise take up a huge amount of leg room! The flat floor feature makes longer occupancy times far more easy to experience, as moving your feet and legs here-and-there is so easy to DO !!!

I can think of a few reasons the Toronado and the Rivera are better than the Eldorado. The one glaring reason would be the real V8 engine. The 4100 is just another failed EPA science project. Very, very nice Oldsmobile. Great job on the video. I was born in 1957 and my first car was a 1966 Buick Rivera at age 16 (1973). It is always nice to take a trip down memory lane with these videos!

OMGSH! JAY! That car is SOOOOOO closely exact to my all time favorite car I've ever owned that I'm over here having heart palpitations!!!!!!!!! I have been searching for one EXACTLY LIKE the one I owned FOR YEARS! I would actually buy THIS one today if it had leather. Here's what I had and if you happen across one in this kind of condition... CONTACT ME ASAP. I have the cash and will buy it on the spot! Mine was an '85. Pewter type gray with med dove gray LEATHER. It had everything else the exact same! Even down to this exact steering wheel!! (That's RARE!!) Same engine, same wheel covers, same tires, top... load levelers, carpeted mats... EVERYTHING!!!!!!!!! I'd be OK with this color combo because it's so perfect but I can't do the cloth. Just ruins the memory. If you find one similar in this condition in gray with gray leather..... tell me where to send the money!!! This video KILLED ME!!!!!!!! I AM SERIOUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! tHX. Greg

Damn, the 80s was an ugly period for cars. Pristine paint jobs and over the top luxury appointments just can't cover up the ugly. Such a shame to see a legendary name from the 60s known for it's radical, distinctive beauty descend into a common, boxy eye sore.
