How come sometimes I get the 6000×2 but I dont actually get the points why is that. Plz let me know

I've seen this recording about a year and a half ago and had to watch it again. I'm STILL in awe after watching it a 2nd time. He's in a class all by himself. Never seen skill like this and I've been playing vg's since '78!!! He makes it look soooo easy.

Mine was 100,000 something and that was it. I was only in my preteens or my teenage years. In between one of those. But wow! That was INSANE! At tthose times the cats was getting to him, I thought he was going to die. Made my heart pound a little in a nervous way. But nice job, replay buyers! :)

@@jenniferkammerer6187 I was worried, that green Goro disk is the equivalent of "Evil Otto" from Bezerk--can't be stopped, but can KILL you. So him burning time to get all those max points had me scared--first instinct is "save your skin and advance" instead of "max top score".

There’s one way to freeze the Goro Disk, the falling pit. If the Disk falls it drops and stops for a short while.

it's great to see every bit of mappy tech i learned as a kid being used so effectively here. nice to learn some optimizing tech here too! i've been going about the bonus rounds wrong my whole life, lmao. Incredible play

There were a few things I learned watching this like we all did. But the doors were a revelation to me. Outstanding play.

27:37-27:43 I remember that the ending to the theme song of the game was always my favorite part and especially when the sound of the coin comes into the mansion. It really brings back memories of my childhood that are from 2008 & 2009 and now I can’t stop listening to it over and over. It makes me sad cause it was some good old times :,) This theme song will always be a part of me :,) Thanks Mappy, Goro and Meowkies for my childhood :,) My life wouldn’t be the same with your guys. :,)

The coin is named Gorsenzo. If you take too long on a level, the coin will start chasing you around the mansion and it can even kill you while you’re bouncing on the trampoline. So be careful! On the NES version, the coin is colored blue instead of green due to palette limitations.

@@DeShawnTheGBGuy Yep. The palette limitations is the reason why the microwave power doors are colored brown in the NES version instead of multi-colored. Same with Mappy's feet. In the NES version, he has no shoes, but in the Arcade version, Mappy has shoes.

linkmaze, He gives up because the levels loop at the end. It’s the same levels you saw before but it still keeps on getting difficult.

三周目が難易度max なので、そこまででプレイを打ち切ったようですね。コンマ数秒単位で高得点を得ている様子が、同じく50面まで到達した事のある自分にも良くわかりました。 ただし、コンマ数秒だとミスしやすいために高得点を捨てて時間を残す自分のやり方とは、多少異なったプレイなのがわかります。 テクニックもいわゆる正統派のやり方であり、マッピーずらし、落とし穴の時限開け、ご先祖様を落とし穴へ落とす事による足止め時間稼ぎのような裏技テクニックは全く登場しません。あくまで正統派テクニックにこだわったような感じです。 模範的なプレイのテクニックは見事で、教科書的な素晴らしいものでした。

This really was such a cool concept for a game. It was like a cartoon from the 1960s; "The game of Cat and Mouse meets the game of Cops and Robbers!"

ミューキーズの誘導がうまい。トランポリンの着地が重ならないように、あらかじめトランポリン前で少し待つのはゲーム中になかなかできない。

Those are actually cats lol You play as the mouse.

The game of cat and mouse, where you play the police mouse, Mappy. You have to get back stuff the Mewkies and Nyamco, or Goro, have stolen. IMO one of Namco's greatest games of all time, and at almost 40 years old, it stands the test of time, even today.

@@eugene3197 Nyamco is the official spelling for Goro himself. Watch the games demo mode and you'll see the word Nyamco, it is a play on Nyan, and Namco.

i gotta say, i COMPLETELY forgot this game existed until i got it again recently on a plug n play console. i had the biggest wave of nostalgia hit me after i finally played it again after maybe 10 or 11 years now. i'll always love this game.

これは物凄くうまいプレイですね！ 自分もマッピーのプレイ動画を上げていますが、クリアで精一杯で、効率的な得点稼ぎどころではなかったです。 「ご先祖様足止め(落とし穴にご先祖様を落とすと一定時間、動かなくなる)」とか、「落とし穴時限空け」、「マッピーずらし」のような裏技的テクニックではなく、正統派的なプレイで50面到達されているので、お手本的な価値があると思います。

The last time I played this was when I was about 6 (and no I was not around when the game was made. It was at Walmart so I brought it and got a whole usb for about 12 arcade games)

256 levels, then repeats at level 0, then 1, then 2, then etc to 256, rolls over again. This game I believe has no kill screen, unlike Pac-Man and Dig Dug.
