Wish wed go back to the old days. Ironic pig skin sports like baseball/basketball hasnt changed much. If only the race industry stayed by similar standards...of course its technology growth etc. So the question. Who declares where the line is drawn where tech doesnt bypass man with machine..

Limited Race History as the car was a flex for Ferrari. Ferrari showed they can make anything.

Great to see the old Ferrari 512 BB LM in action again. I watched these in period at Le Mans from 1979-82, I believe they started from 1977. Somewhat overweight, they struggled to finish and could not really compete with the Porsche 935s, but achieved their best ever finishes with a very credible 5th and 9th overall in 1982.

A symphony of the interal combustion engine. edit, i imagine the vibration from this engine is exquisite 🤗

The whole car vibrates internally; it is a "living car", like a thoroughbred racehorse. I don't usually put the stabilizer in my onboard videos, I had tried to film it without it but the video that came out was too shaky due to the vibrations. What you see is the second onboard I recorded and the camera's anti-vibration system did its job.

Good Lord, what a machine! I would love to sit at a stoplight and just let that idle blow everyone's mind...and then even more when she gets moving! It has a wide powerband for a Ferrari, perfect for my local mountain road. No drivers aids, stick shift too (anti-theft device). Fantastic!

I like this comment and how you would use the car. 😂👍 There's an interview on KZread with the driver who talks about this car. He did his second race aboard the 512 BB LM at SPA Francorchamps, and he said the engine has so much torque that you can use the gearbox much less than usual.

@@Italiansupercarvideo That was obvious from the onboards. My 1000cc V-twin sportbike is similar with a really wide powerband. I can do the whole ride in 2 gears, but usually use 4 of the 6 just for fun!

The new Ford Mustang GTD sounds amazing but nothing rivals a V12. The 512 has long been one of my favorite Ferraris.

The car of my "boyhood". Seems crude now by comparison to modern supercars. But that just adds to its appeal. And 180 deg 12-cyl have such unique brutal and gorgeous sound, akin to 90 deg V8s.

@Italiansupercarvideo In August 2022 it was the only White V8 Mustang with 3rd Pedal Manual Transmission, In all of California. The only one with the combination, spec. Also, it is Serial Number (S/N):22.0001.450R meaning Year 22 S/N: 0001 Trim 450R Shelby and Saleen Mustangs start with a basic Mustang GT, meaning no Rev-Match Tremec 6 Speed, or Magneride... it is better than Shelby American. 👦👍🏎🏁🚩
