What’s up guys I hope everyone is having a blessed day. Today, we tear down a pre auxiliary 700r4 transmission, now this unit is very old and is the early 27 spline input shaft. We dive into this transmission head first, and find a usual issue for these older units. The seals on the pistons wear out over time and eventually the fluid will begin to bypass the seal, allowing a cross leak and not applying the clutch pack at a high enough pressure rate leading to slip.
