“Hill? *What hill?”* Then… “Berm? *What Berm?”* “Well, there once was one, until *Big Red on his Mighty Four-Ninety* took the turn. He made it through just fine…” “And?” “It was *GONE* after he took the turn. It was *flattened* - the bike had destroyed it *utterly.* Dirt and rocks came down hundreds of yards away.” Pause. “So *that’s* why they call those things *Berm-Flatteners.”*

Roslyn Ingram You are right...but in order to achieve the same "Magic"...they would need the MAISH family and his Crew...thankfully there are people that keeps them alive and fast, but not even the big four Japanese factories could achieve that Magic.... they all bought a lot of Maicos trying to find that Magic and failed...Well...not completely they ended up making good motocross bikes in the effort....that's what makes MAICOS a Legend......😁

I love the track I still dream about having a Maico I took one for a test ride once and loved it it was so easy to ride and that was a 450 Radial Fin when they first came out it was only less than 1000.00 back then brand new.

in '74 the first 450 radials ran about 1700 bucks new ..add on a Mikuni carb and manifold..alloy tank and rims...change the airbox and fenders you were north of 2400 in 1974 dollars
