I found a 74 CT90 early in April last year. Gave $100 not knowing anything except it was sitting a couple years. Scuffed and set the points, bought a $12 deer feeder battery, sprayed brake clean in the carb and it fired. Cleaned the carb and tank and it was a runner. Bought a NEW carb, tubes n tires, good to go. Runs well for 48 yrs old. It is orange, so l named her Dreamsicle. Still got less than $300 in it.

The first bike I ever had was a ct-90 that had been sitting since the late 70s under a porch in Rhode Island. It was a mustard yellow color. These bikes are a lot of fun and dependable. I'm glad you're enjoying it.

Thinking about "playing' with an old trail Honda myself (whenever I find a workable CT110 or CT90 to buy); thanks for sharing your effort and sharing it with us in detail! Have some fun with it! As of today: April 4 2020, Honda newest Trail 125 was not included as one of the new 2021 model to come to US; I am so disappointed.

I've had both a 90 and this 110. They are very good bikes. I've had a lot of fun offroading over the years with it. Definitely much more fun than those junky plastic Yamaha things people always ride. Really my biggest issue with this bike has been the electrical which has never worked right. I have a headlight and a horn and that's it for working electricals lol. I'd highly recomend one of these if you can find one though! A lot of fun!

I picked up an 81 ct110 a few weeks ago just got it started for the first time in 6 years tonight. Cant wait for summer

Congratulations! They are probably the best machines Honda ever made. They are SO good that I believe they are still making them

Full synthetic can make the automatic centrifugal clutch fail to 'grab'. So if that becomes a problem you'll know. And you really don't need the helicoil. Just retap the threads and use a larger oil drain plug. My opinion: The old ones are better than the new 125cc for two big reasons. They have a high/low transmission (except the 1980) and they don't cost $5K.

It's been a great bike aside from the never ending carb drama. Never had a carb working properly on this thing but its something I intend on figuring out when I do the full rebuild on the bike. I work in automotive restoration but its higher end clients so I seldomly deal with anything imported and dont know which brands are good or bad. Here in the us its easy we just know to avoid edelbrock. Interesting comment about the synthetic, I will keep that in mind. I have ran it with synthetic all my life so maybe I have been spared from that problem.

I will hopefully be purchasing a 1981 CT110 as well from the original owner. His father bought it for him when he was 10. It's been in storage for 20 years.

They are amazing bikes. Put some seafoam in the spark plug hole and let the piston soak before you try turning the engine. Also if your front shocks are warn they sell rebuild kits. Good luck! You'll love it!

Did ya get it? I heard about an “81 ct110 for sale yesterday. It’s been sitting in storage the last 5 years hoping to go check it out and see if I can make a deal on it. If ya don’t mind me asking what were they asking and how much did ya pay if ya got it? Luckily I’m the only one that knows it’s for sale. I just told the guy let me know if he wanted to sell it and he said sure.

I just recently bought an 84’ ct110 and was messing with the electrical and I couldn’t figure out where the 2 wires are supposed to go that are from the end of the ignition coil. I was hoping you could help, thanks.

Ah I really hate google. How long have they had youtube now? 10 years? They day they took it over they broke the comments and its broken to this day, never saw your comment. I'm sure you already got that sorted out but in case you havent, try a forum. I would love to help but my bike is in storage 80 miles from me at this time.

Your running that crumbling air filter on it? Terrible idea! and I cringed when you were going to hit the carburetor needle to knock it loose. Your fuel mixture is probably off because of that air filter & the carb is def chinese junk it doesn’t even have an air/fuel adjustment screw. Get yourself an air filter & another carburetor on Amazon you don’t need to spend a fortune on a carb but you def need to get one that’s adjustable 👍
