1980 & 1981 Penn State Football Films Double Feature

Here is the chronicle of the back-to-back Penn State seasons of 1980 & 1981, exciting campaigns featuring high levels of success that the Nittany Lions used to set the stage for an eventual national championship in 1982. These classic films are perhaps my all-time favorites, having first discovered them on Beta back in the mid 80's, they have all the elements that I came to love in Tel Ra produced highlight shows. #25 Performance at Nebraska is one of the finest games by any Nittany Lion at any position ever... Warner is all class, in my opinion he is the best player at any position in the decades of Nittany Lion Football I have followed. Curt is a record breaking big time college football RB that is the ultimate team player in that he is humble and gives credit even to the opposition while giving you everything he has got. How many RB let alone any player for any college team break 42 school records? and look at all the players it took to break the records Curt set.... It is nothing short of a list of the greatest PSU RB minus Curt! I cannot imagine the Penn State Nittany Lions coming anywhere close to a NC in 82 without Curt.

My favorite player was Blackledge but I won't argue with anything you wrote mainly because not only do I agree with you but I'm sure Todd does as well. He stated that Curt is the best player he ever played with, college or pro, and I believe him to be sincere and not just saying it just because they were college roommates. A terrific tandem on the field and off.

It was a good feeling after suffering the previous winter, spring and summer with the sugar bowl loss. You just knew Curt was special after that first game. For me Curt is still the best, most complete RB and when the games were big Curt usually delivered more often than not.
