I wonder what it was like to hang out with Steve at studio 54

really gay
I got in to Studio 54 when I was 15 years old. I had two good friends who were regulars there and Steve was outside and waved us right in through the crowd and past the velvet ropes. It was INSANE! Celebrities, athletes, politicians and wonderful artists. There was debauchery and massive amounts of drugs happening especially in the balcony. It's 100% true that people would stand outside the velvet ropes and wait to be "picked" to get in. NYC in the 70's was off the hook.
Would love to have known Steve.
Clearly this reporter NEVER got "in".😅
I was in , Xenon , twice , 124 West 43rd / 10036 / street that was own by Steve Rubell , but was never talk about . We had a ball , fun and dance the night away . BOOGIES .

I guess the Steve doesn't allow junkies inside the studio 😂
We have “snow” 😂😂😂
So singles weren't allowed? But if you went with a friend or friends yet you still met someone?
A brilliant narcissist. He was Jewish and he called his own people “Yids”. All he had to do was pay his taxes. R.I.P. Jackass. Mike Myers did a fantastic job playing him in 54🥂🍷🍸🍺🥃

“All he had to do was pay his taxes.” Can’t argue with that.

@@sparrowprince3432 Exactly. He would’ve still been snorting coke of ass’s in the 90’s if he just paid tax.

Why didn't he want to pay his taxes?

Have you heard of Meyer Lansky? I would imagine that the protection money you had to pay isn’t a tax deductible

Indeed he was. I read a Blog post from a fellow gay colleague of his that described all the horrible things he did on his final night Alive. He was an AIDS vector. Infected tons of men that night.
