Craig Morton is the reason I became a Denver Bronco fan as a 9 year old and it's great to see his greatest game as a pro (in my opinion). Great broadcast....

This is just how good Bill Walsh was. He had Steve DeBerg, Joe Montana, and Jim Plunkett on his roster at the same time. DeBerg played about 13 years as a journeyman, and Plunkett won two Super Bowls with the Raiders. Not bad for a coach knowing exactly what it takes out of an individual from that position.

Alan Page was the significant piece that actually made the 85 Bears team, which ended up with the greatest defense in league history. He was one hell of an athlete. In my opinion, one of the best I've ever witnessed. Regardless of position.

Three distinct games stand out in my mind in regards to Craig Morton's time as the QB in Denver: the '77 regular season win in SD hitting Moses in the back of the end zone for the game winner, the 34-yard frozen rope (and the game clincher) to Jack Dolbin in the '77 Divisional win against Pittsburgh, and the miraculous come from behind win, after being 24 down when he entered, against Seattle in '79. I've always wondered what could have been had Max Coley and Jerry Frei been there as OC and O-line coach when Craig was in a Broncos uniform. Man had zero for wheels by this time in his career, but he still had a cannon in that right arm.

The Rams didn't recognize the potential greatestness in Windell Tyler. The running back.
