Curt Gowdy did two seasons with CBS, 1979 and 1980. He was almost always paired with Hank Stram.

It has been said that Gowdy was "traded" by NBC for Don Criqui.

Super Bowl 13 (Cowboys vs Steelers) was CURT GOWDY'S swan song with NBC. The very next season, GOWDYwas working regional telecasts for CBS.

WOW I've been trying to find the Jets-Pats game forever. One of my favorite moments as a Jets fan, getting revenge for the 56-3 loss earlier in season by knocking Pats out of playoffs!! Not full game but it's something- THANKS!!!!

I was lucky to track down what I did. If I recall correctly, there are 2 or 3 different sources of clips. Would love to see a complete broadcast. But this is more than I ever saw back in the day. We got so little coverage of the AFC East here in the DFW area.

The big news stoies included the Iran Hostage Crisis and the passing of former NYC Archbishop turned TV star Fulton J. Sheen (Life is worth living)

Fulton j. Sheen reminded me of an old lady who stayed next door to me. The resemblance was uncanny comic book humor some of you will figure it out later

All is well. I will see what comes next. It's gonna take some time to compile but there will be more. There is just so much material to sift through. I keep finding little nuggets that would have fit in nicely from previous edits too. That and trying to make it as complete as possible.
