Just stunning Steve. There are many skills involved in this work, but I am fascinated by how you deal with, and work out all the layers. Simply brilliant. I love how some people still question you, as if you don't know what you are doing, I would advise them not to bother. I can't think of a better or more informative restoration channel than yours. Long may you entertain us.

Nice job. Those Manta's where nice but Opel's always liked the rust when kept outside. I am from Berlin (West) in Germany and my Grandma had a 1.9 litre Ascona and loved it. It was the greatest car in the world for me and I was sure that I am going to get me a Kadett, Manta, Ascona, Rekord, Diplomat or a Admiral, but was'nt sure which one it would be. 😂😊 Brings back memories. Thanks for showing such good work

Yeah the outside anyone can keep the rust off with good care, it's the moisture starting rust inside the structure, attacking untreated insides. Cars rust from within, and there's no stopping it unless you cut the whole thing up right from the factory, paint it all like YCR does here, then weld back together.
