Cool man! There's some Laser restore vids up on YT already, but they always skimped on the detail. I'm gonna try and show everything super detailed to help others get their projects working. What all needs to be done to your 70's Laser?

Just picked up my first Laser off of FB marketplace. There is one hole on the deck that will take some work but other than that the hull is dry. All the rigging, no trailer, $100! Can’t wait to see updates on your quarantine project as I start mine!

My quarantine project was a 1970s 470 and making new racing rigging for my race laser and practice laser and now I’m onto upgrading my IC. I would highly recommend getting the upgraded rigging most importantly the Vang. It makes the boat so much easier to sail in breeze. Next on the list would be making sure you have good purchase on the Cunningham(at least 6:1). Having the upgrades will definitely add value if you go to resell it (the wood while they are nice to look at will take away value.) There are many pictures and videos you can find on ways to rig it. I love the wooden foils! Those will clean up nicely. They definitely didn’t come stock on that boat if it’s a 97.

I'm just finishing my COVID project - a Sunfish restoration. Mine was in no better shape, but different problems. I hope you have fun with this! Btw, toilet bowl cleaner is dynamite for cleaning gelcoat.

Nice! I've got some toilet bowl cleaner, I'll give it a shot on these deep stains. How did the Sunfish come out? Was it an old body style with the metal railing on the edge of the gunwale? Would love to see pics.

Hi there, just wondering if there is any Laser restoration update? Liked your first vid on it. Is it finished by now?

I have a Laser that was damaged by snow weight. It was sitting upsode down and it cracked the fiberglass. Do you think it is work repairing? Will I be able to get the bottom back the way it was?
