If I’d have had KZread back in the late 70’s my RD 350 would still be running now

I had one as a teenager , used to ride it back and forth to vocational school. Joined the military and sold it. Found another one last week and just brought it home on sunday. Time to restore and relive some of my youth.

Amazing that bike started after so many yrs. My 4th bike was a Maroon (no white) RD 350 and what a wheelie machine it was in 1st 2nd and into 3rd on the back wheel :). The police never did catch me as I passed them on the back wheel. I knew my old home town really well, they could not get down the back alleys even in a mini police car :). Ahh what Fun times they were.........Yours sounds just as mine did, G Wizz, enjoy her, but be careful, she might buck you off LoL

You're not the first to cross the slides. Done it more times than I'd like to admit. Good on ya for bringing this one back to life. 🙂

1977 Harley Electra glide when I get to ride. Was an old cop bike from Austin. I've been a butcher for 35 years and it's taken its toll on my body

Had one years ago, didnt have Licence, but hey, i was learning. During a decoke, had one cylinder head off, turned engine over, not realising the ignition was ON,,, the fecker only fired right up. Was amazing and scary too, watching that piston flying up and down 😂 I never did it again lol.

Second bike I owned was the 250 of this model, then owned 4 350's... one the same colour. 3 friends all had 350's and when we all got together and burned up the hills no one could see behind us LOL I think maybe the most honest bikes I ever rode. Though My 350 LC was a nice step up but lost some of its charm along the way...

Nice find! My brother has several RD's, one is a Daytona Special, and he has a '71 R5 as well (no idea where he finds these things). I'm currently rebuilding my '73 TX500, I'm the original owner, I've put 124,000 miles on it (this is its third rebuild, got the frame powdercoated this time). Any hints on the best way to get old Kreem out of the tank? That stuff is not ethanol friendly.

Also, no helmet while riding on the street on a bike that the brakes have not been serviced after 30 years!!!!...”Heads carved of knotty pine.”

I serviced the brakes. Rebuilt master cylinder and caliper and adjusted the rear shoes. Good thing we live in a place where you have freedom of speech and I can do wtf I want.
