The Yamaha RD350 needs no introduction. It is a legend that still holds its own amidst the newer motorcycles despite being more than 30-years-old. It has created a cult for itself amongst motorcycle riders in India. The Yamaha RD400 is an even more powerful evolution of the RD350 that takes things to the next level.
This video details this one particular RD350 that has been maintained in its original form with most factory-fitted OEM parts still being used. It belonged to Air Commodore Shekher Chauhan VM, a passionate fighter pilot and biker. He bought the RD350 way back in 1987 and rode it for 30 years until he lost in a battle with cancer and passed on in 2017. The bike is now maintained and ridden by his wife and two daughters. Truly a legendary story of a legend.

really nice bikes the two strokes are. i grew up riding two strokes, they were a blast. my favourite things are the power, smell and rawness of the bikes, they were balls out bikes!

Not for sale.
It's not bone stock. The tank is re painted. Plus the bike is not well tuned.

The indicator glasses are not original either.
Those "special" spark plugs caps weren't "special", they were cheap crap that everyone took off & replaced with NGK ones as soon as possible, as they shorted out in the rain!
