Best looking car ever....70-73!
I ordered a 73 Trans Am new. It was severely choked down compared to previous years. I wanted a Super Duty but my Dad wouldn't allow me to have one. It was a nice driver but nothing spectacular as far as performance. The handling and suspension were really good though for a 'muscle car'. I bought a hood scoop from the previous year with the air flap that opened with the throttle and had it painted to match because the wiring harness was still there under the hood. All I had to do was plug it in. I had the eight track player just like this one. Played a lot of Yes, ELP, Allman Brothers, Traffic and Cream in it. I miss those days. Now I'm an old guy.

I too ordered a new 1973 Trans Am. The factory was on strike during the fall of 72 when I ordered it, and the car did not arrive until early 73. I ordered mine in the Buccaneer Red with a standard black interior. The example in the video was the custom upholstery. Mine had a 4-speed manual. I opted out of the hood decal because I wasn't sure how a decal would hold up. I had the standard wheels instead the honeycomb. I ordered the SD-455, but after a month or two the dealer called me and said they could not get me the SD. All the car magazines at the time hyped up the SD, but in reality they only made like 500 of them.

@@TractorMonkeywithJL Cool story. Lucky you got the stick shift. The only way to get a T/A. I bought a 3 yr old 73, with the stick also. Had every option, 'cept for the TH400 and SD. Bucky red, w/ the screamin chicken. loved it more than anything. Stored it for 4 yrs in the military, then wrecked it 2 months after re-registering it. Extremely disappointing, but 23 yr olds do dumb things. Have another now, been in my garage for over 36 yrs. Can't get to it, and it needs...everything. :( Maybe retirement will help.

Love the colour and shape of this car. Very nice.
60k GBP only? Jeez, sometimes I can’t help but be depressed in the Country I was born in, we miss out on so many great opportunities.
Most beautiful car I have ever seen its my dream car
Killer soundtrack..the engine that is.
What a beauty 😍
Nice trans am. That was a year or two before Pontiac added RTS Radio Tuned Suspension
Amazing ride. Nice camera work.
Love the car, love the color, love the power, unbelievable.
I can surely appreciate the love put into that Trans Am's restoration.
i always argue with camaro lovers telling them T A were a class above camaros not even close
Great looking car. I owned a brand new 1973 in red with black interior. I've never seen one that had black seats and door panels with red carpet. Doesn't look right to me. Also, I don't remember those kind of outside door handles. Mine were all chrome, but maybe that was a trim package difference. Your interior was called the deluxe option, I had the standard. The standard interior had more of a rolled look. The grab handle on the dash was another package difference.
A real classic.....wow....👍

Thank you!
1973,1969,1979 and 2002 were the fastest Firebird's ever produced!!... 🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲
Great, simply great.
100% my favorite GM car, camaros, chevelles, gen 1 firebirds all over-rarted... this is the best IMO
Such a lovely car! I have a 1978 trans am sitting in my garage since 2014 as a restoration project. Unfortunately no idea how to find parts for the interior to restore. But watching this makes me want to try again!

This Must Be The Base 250 Horsepower 455, And Not The SD455 With 310 Horsepower. MY Stolen Base 1973 Firebird Was The Base 175 Horsepower 2bbl. 350! You Guys Would Probably Bash My 350 Also, Just Like You Do The 301!
