Just incase someone missed it. UCLA’s QB is future actor Mark Harmon ( NCIS fame)

Harmon isn't the only actor in the UCLA lineup. Right tackle Eugene Clark starred in the cop series "Night Heat" on Canadian television. He also played for the Toronto Argonauts in the CFL in late 70's

all he does is hand it off to RB and run with football sometimes he sure doesn't pass much. if he didn't get injured, he wouldn't got drafted from NFL. what team going draft a qb never pass much. if he did get drafted, he probably been a WR

Thanks for sharing. The Trojans were fun to watch. Enjoyed watching Harmon and the talented backs of the Bruins. The Trojans had some studs. Davis was an excellent college player. You do a real nice job.

To this day, the UCLA-USC game is the most eye pleasing game in sport. The colors of both teams on the field at the same time, there’s nothing in sports that can compare.

5:32 one of the best plays in the Wishbone. Fake to FB like option but run power at the def end. Tough. UCLA's first TD is the same play.

Pepper Rodgers actually had a nice little run as UCLA head coach, but couldn't beat SC. He famously upset #1 Nebraska during his tenure and his offenses gained a lot of high powered yards behind a massive offensive line. The problem with his wishbone offense was SC's defense was just too fast, physical and filled with tons of future NFL athletes for such a one dimensional attack. John McKay famously drew up how to defend the wishbone on a cocktail napkin for reporters the night before the game and basically executed the plan to perfection. Teams followed suit and it became the model on how to defend it. His fast outside linebackers would crash down on the snap of the ball and smack the the runner every play. Mark Harmon once said his only memory of this game was constantly looking up from the ground and seeing the back of a red jersey walk back to the huddle. UCLA went to Dick Vermiel and a pro style offense after this game and upset #1Ohio State in the 75 season with Sciara.

Brutal football You can't win with the wishbone offense and give up the ball 6 times. Why did the UCLA coach Pepper Rogers keep switching out NCIS's Mark Harmon and John Sciarra. The offense has to have some continuity to be successful

This should be considered one of the all-time USC-UCLA rivalry games. Rose Bowl on the line. Both teams rated in the top 10. USC -- Hayden, McKay Jr., Obradovich, Anthony Davis, Rod McNeil, Artimus Parker, Richard Wood. UCLA - Mark Harmon, John Sciarra, Kermit Johnson, James McAllister, Rod's brother Fred McNeil on defense. Harmon and Sciarra shuttled the QB position for UCLA. McNeil and Davis traded carries. Hard fought contest all the way. The difference came within the turnover category. Some oddities - Anthony Davis kicking off for USC, John Sciarra returning punts. This game has all the stuff that made this rivalry what it is.

This game immediately followed the Ohio State-Michigan 10-10 game. If there should have ever Been a playoff, 1973 was the year. Alabama and Notre Dame were unbeaten, with the difference being a missed extra point in the Sugar Bowl on New Eve. Then Ohio State blew out USC the next day. Notre Dame was awarded the national title despite either Michigan or Ohio State probably were better.

UCLA coulda kicked a field goal with 39 seconds left and then attempted an onside kick. Instead, they wasted the rest of the time trying to get the touchdown first. Seems pretty stupid when teams do that.
