1972 GMC K2500 CST - Factory 4x4 - A/C - V8, Auto Trans, Power Brakes, Power Steering, Rare Bird!
You're looking at a rare and incredibly sharp truck finished in it's original color combination - Dark Olive w/ a White Roof. This truck was frame off restored some years back with the goal of being a daily drivable classic that had just the right creature comforts! Starting at the front end you notice the unique GMC grill giving it four headlights versus Chevy's two. On the edge of the hood you also see GMC badging where Chevys of this year were left blank. Underneath that hood is a date correct 1972 GM 350c.i. which is accompanied by all of the desired amenities! A/C, Power Steering, and a Power brake booster. (Front Disc, Rear Drum) This was a factory A/C truck that has been modernized with a Vintage Air kit! Behind that V8 is a replacement TH350 Automatic Transmission backed by the original NP205 Transfer Case which delivers power to the front and rear(4.10P) Axles! Riding on Raceline Aluminum Wheels with newer All Terrain Tires! (2020)
The interior of this pickup has been tastefully updated with TMI bucket seats and center console! These seats not only utilize the factory shoulder belts, but also feature an adjustable base and seatback. As you look further into the cab you will notice a 3-Spoke Grant GT Steering wheel which is fixed to the factory optioned tilt-column. This truck utilizes the factory gauge cluster which boasts a 100-mph speedometer, and an inset of auxiliary gauges. The five-digit odometer shows 75k miles. The original AM radio was replaced with a RetroSound unit giving the truck modern sound while keeping classic styling!
Additional information about this 72 GMC:
The frame was taken down to bare metal and coated with chassis paint. The frame is straight, without heavy pitting, and shows no signs of any repair! The floorpan of the cab was also stripped and painted body color, no signs of any rust or rust repair found! All cab mounts were replaced at this time along with many other bushings/wear items. The front and rear bumpers were replaced during restoration along with the front inner fenders. The window felts and seals were replaced as well as the door seals and latches. Sound deadening material was installed underneath the rubber floor liner. This makes a world of a difference when it comes to road noise! Now for the truck bed! The bed floor has been coated with a bedliner material and Aluminum Diamond plate bedrail caps have been added. Overall the truck bed shows some authentic wear and tear, but is in great shape and can be used as intended without fear! When considering this pick'em-up keep in mind GM produced about 1/3 the amount of GMC's as they did Chevrolets. We love them all, these are just a bit more special!

I have a "70" with a 402/330HP 400trans 12 bolt rear. Its a 2 wheel drive with AC and its just as nice as a 4 wheel drive. Cool truck and fun and there is no Substitute for a big block . Only 74k with build sheet . Still has a few T3 headlights. Feels like a chevellle SS really.

Whoever ordered that truck had money. Power steering, power brakes, and auto trans were pretty rare in 1970s trucks, and hell most cars didn't even have AC let alone a pickup, that's super rare. Very nice.

awesome --bullshit---an auto. truck will generally bring 5K-8K more money. Four speed trucks were generally purchased by farmers and ranchers and all that means is a pounding!!!! Jim

CE? Did someone convert it to 4X4? I thought all 4x4's were K trucks.

CE1 is for 2 wheel drive, v8 half ton. You are correct. My 4x4 starts with KE1. 1 is for half ton. 2 is for 3/4 ton.

Buddy you ain't been looking at the market on these rigs. I sent two that I fully restored to Alberta Canada --one brought 18K other one brought 19K. That was a delivered price and both were auto. trannies with cold AC --they were 3/4 ton 4x4's. These trucks have gone up 10%-20% the last three or four years.
