No doubt we are as well! Glad I seen your comment first as I was ready to write one about DMCL as well. In the movie Vic Morrow, the Sheriff, tells Hank to “get on over to Steve’s and pick up that Interceptor”. So when Hank shows up & Steve starts it Hank just has a big grin on his face. “So what’s my Top End” he asks. Then Steve answers “Unlimited”. In reality all those ‘72 & ‘73 Polaras they used & destroyed were actually former CHP cars they had just purchased/picked up in Sacramento. Our favorite scene is when Hank comes to a screeching halt at the intersection & hears all the noise then looks to his left to see the Charger hauling ass out of the woods then he proceeds to pull the gearshift down in low & takes off smoking the left rear tire. That Polara sounded as strong as the Charger did when they were both going hell bent for election after that until Hank ended up clobbering the utility pole & just ruined everything!

The narrow track doesn't help much. I had a '66 Polara hardtop coupe, 383 2bbl. The worst part was the drum brakes. OTOH, that car would drive for miles, no-hands, on the expressway, just wobbling between the lines.

The narrow track doesn't help much. I had a '66 Polara hardtop coupe, 383 2bbl. The worst part was the drum brakes. OTOH, that car would drive for miles, no-hands, on the expressway, just wobbling between the lines.
They should be makeing proper cars like this again.we don't want electric crap!

@@shedman7323 Thanks man I appreciate your input. Reminds me of the cheap hub caps that fly off the wheel at every sharp turn because they were so cheaply applied in Detroit.
I had a buddy in the early '90s who bought one that had been traded in a few hours earlier at a local Dodge dealership. $250 cash + a $99 processing fee. Drove it for about 6 months, and one day it crapped out in Navy traffic on the HRBT while I was a few cars back. He limped it to the area just before the tunnel goes under the water, parked it on one of the HRBT employee parking spots, and walked away from it forever.
Always loved C bodies some day ill own one!

I had a '72 Polara 2-door, 360 car. It wouldn't burn out like this one though. Needed a 440 !
Digging these hijinks! Big Dodge is the way to go. My Pop had a nice '69 Dodge Monaco 440. It was a gentleman's muscle car, four doors, all power, docile cruiser but could morph into a nasty tire melter in no time flat. I really like that car. He got rid of it well ahead of when I started to drive. We still reminisce about that car that should have been kept and saved. Thought I spied a Camaro. I have a pewter colored '99 LS1 (V8) Z28 convertible, gray leather interior, chrome wheels, 77K miles. Everything works and cosmetically still a nice car, deep shiny original paint, garaged most of it's life. Looking for a '99-'02 hardtop manual SS or a Z28.
