1971 PLYMOUTH CUDA 383 CLOSE UP | B5 BLUE BEAUTY ICONIC MOPAR MUSCLE CAR | WALK AROUND AND DRIVE

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

Here is Jonathan's 1971 Plymouth Cuda 383. Last weekend I met up with him for a chat and cruise with our 'Cuda's.
No stranger to having some great cars in his collections over the years, he has owned the car for a while now and says that this car is definitely a keeper for him which I agree is a great choice!
Its a fine example of a very collectable car. Enjoy the video!

When I was 13yrs. old my dad drove by a Plymouth dealer [ on a Sunday, remember that] He stopped and we drove home in a 63-1/2 Metallic Red Barracuda. People flipped out over it. Downside to story was he traded in a '56 Chevy two-door sedan. I was looking forward to driving that when I turned 16.

Nice pair of Cudas . My best friend has a 71 Cuda factory 440-6 Tor red that he bought for 700 bucks in 1980 . I have a purple 71 Duster 340. Cheers from Toronto, Canada .

Thanks for the video. Two good looking cars. My first car was a 1970 Barracuda with a mildly built 340. Yeah, I wish I still had it.

In 1986 I bought a $900 1970 Barracuda Gran Coupe, orange with white interior very nice shape but the guy who had it blew the 318 and 904 trans to pieces he did have a LD 340 intake manifold on it worth its weight in gold back then! I found a super strong 1968 383 from a local mechanic who raced, bought that engine and 727..Oddly, it was used in his wifes daily driver 76 Cordoba(looked sharp triple black) He put in a super strong 440,I could imagine how quick that car was.I ran into him once and he was 2 cars ahead of me and he had his wife and 2 kids in the car! I put the 383 and trans in and the car was a beast! 12.70's in the 1/4 with 3.55's I put in the car, back then tracks sucked it was like a parking lot for traction aka non..60 feet I babied it then hammered it,spun for a millisecond then went. Good thing with E bodies all you need are big block motor mounts and go from a 318 to 383 or 440 in hours! I found a 'Cuda hood, rear exhaust valance and turned it into a 'Cuda(my uncle collected 'Cuda parts/basically gave them to me for yard work lol)..My cousin repainted it (professional car restorer today) I was 16 then..and want those days back, albeit not the $3.60 per hour wage so $900 was a huge chunk of cash..I had about $2000 1986 dollars into that car! My uncle is a original owner of a 320,000 mile 1970 'Cuda 440 6bbl...Was his daily ,drove it all the time from 70-82 with 260,000 miles, then rebuilt the engine new paint and its a killer still,he is 86 years young! I still own a few old Mopar muscle cars, but that 'Cuda was my first build, miss it .. Sorry for the babble..

Those Cudas are beautiful! My first car was a '71 Barracuda I bought used in 1977 for $1200. It was a bone stock 318 with a 3 speed manual on the floor. It was a metallic bronze color that looked great in the sun. I was just starting college and had no money for go fast parts, but I scraped together enough money to buy a set of ET aluminum slotted mag wheels and 60 series tires on the back and 70's on the front. It was a head turner, but it looked a lot faster than it actually was. Never should have sold it.

That would have been a fun combo, and the metallic bronze colours are definitely nice in the sun. Cheers for the story!
