I was born in 1997 and grew up in Lambeth this is crazy I love it
Notice how smartly dressed and well groomed literally everyone in this video is. These were the 70s working classes, and despite not having to shillings to rub together, they still made sure they were presentable before leaving the house. I think this was the last decade where people took pride in their appearance.
I lived in sudbourne Road Brixton in 1975-79 was 18 yo. Rent was £5 a week, we were 3 in the same room.Wages was £30 a week at the Savoy hotel. I was kind of hoping to see myself unfortunately not.

I had a Cab office at the top of Railton Road it had the best black drivers! Loved the vibe great time❤
