1969 Rover P6 2000 SC - Walk Around

XAB 106G was built on the 10th February 1969, finished in Brigade Red for the RHD Home Market. The Rover 2000 SC Saloon was supplied new by W Holloway & Sons Limited, Worcester and comes with a comprehensive history. The Rover spent its early life in Worcestershire and then spent from 1975 to 1988 with one owner in Cheltenham. The car stayed local in Cheltenham from 1988 for four years, selling in 1992 to an owner in Coventry who kept the car for 21 years and worked in the engineering department for Jaguar Land Rover.

A lovely example. Good to see the P6 getting recognition. Big fan of these. I have a 1974 P6B 3500 S in Tasmania. My favourite classic car.

Its exhaust note is like "well-mellowed Datsun 120Y(Nissan Sunny 1200 in my country, Japan)" in my notion. Lovely sound, jaunty presence of car.

The early cars are lovely, just as the designer intended..but give me a 3500S and it would be a close call!
